I wanted to give them at least a 4 because it caters so well to the motorcycle riding community, the view is pretty, and the owner and his family are very kind people, but the wait for food was hella long. LOL. We came on a Saturday and it was kind of busy when we were hanging out outside, but by the time we (group of 5) sat down inside there were probably only 3-4 tables left.
I ordered their Country Breakfast that comes with 3 eggs, a meat selection (I chose breakfast sausage), potato and onions, with a side of fruits and English muffin. My boyfriend ordered their French toast and other friends ordered their BLT and Country Breakfast as well. The waiting part was the part that knocked it off a star. We waited an hour for our food to be served, we ended up asking them to check if our order was forgotten. I'd understand if the store was packed full of people, but it wasn't and didn't quite understand why the food took so long. It's definitely not for people on a schedule and/or hungry, you'd definitely need time to wait for the food to be served. Thankfully we weren't on a super tight schedule, but still had places to be.
The food was tasty though, very homey and well portioned. I loved their potatoes cooked with grilled onions, the two flavors always work so well together (mmm, caramelized onions)! We were all finally full and happy with our meal. Very solid breakfast food and would definitely come again for the food (minus the wait, personally didn't think it was worth an hour+ wait), but duly noted will come with on a no...
Read moreUnfortunately, too many bikers and a caravan of ricer cars were present upon arrival. Managed to park right off the winding road. Short staffed, older lady was passive aggressive and would rush us to order all at once. Upon showing her a picture of the meal I ate the first time I was ever there, she ignored it and said "she doesn't do pictures" she wouldn't let me explain it's a plate from their own establishment. Had to forcefully order best I could figure out on the menu and not given any time to look over the menu to figure out the plate I had from previous visit. First round of coffee was bitter and burnt. Had to hesitate to ask for a fresh cup. But got the whole excuse she claimed she's been brewing fresh hot coffee every 20 minutes. Our order took almost 45 minutes to come out. It wasn't as good as the first time I ate there. Too bad they weren't customer friendly. I don't recommend this restaurant any longer. I planned on going back eventually, but it was so bad. I didn't like feeling rushed, but then have us wait for more than 40 minutes to get our food. add to it the passive aggressive pressure. Not a good experience at all. It have the impression of sit down, hurry up and order, here's your burnt coffee, no small talk! Now wait a long time for your plate. Ok, now pay and...
Read moreThis place has a nice location. The view of Lake Elsinore when you drive into the parking lot is wonderful. I would suggest packing your own something to eat though. The establishment only has outdoor porta-potties, no sinks, and the food… I got a BLT, and I was so disappointed I couldn’t even finish it. The bacon was crispy to the point that it was hard to bite, it came on wheat bread, it was over powered with 6 thick tomato slices, and it kept falling apart. I tried making it work by wrapping up some lettuce around the bacon and a bit of tomato, but even that was too much. My boyfriend got their regular breakfast, and he said everything was fine with it, however, when we got to the beach, he had to urgently get to a bathroom, and he was in there for 30 minutes. The waitress joked that she was going to get us some of their great well water, that stuff was horrible! Please start using bottles. Also, all of their ‘alcoholic’ drinks are made from wine. Not that big of a deal, but if I want a Bloody Mary, I definitely prefer it with vodka. I’m not going to lie, we will never go back here. It seems like they have the right idea, and a great location, but I will not put myself through that experience again. I will say, the pile of fruit on my boyfriends plate was the best thing we...
