After trying T&A Cafe several times due to a lot of friends enjoying their food, I have completely given up. This "BLT" sandwich was the final straw for me and I will never be returning for their food. I was first exposed to Kleinfieldt BBQ before they had the location as a friend had them catered. I was not impressed, cold and soggy food is not my thing. I've tried the tri tip sandwich, but I'd much rather make my own or get some from Prunedale Market, T&A Cafe's were severely over priced and underwhelming with an aioli sauce that just didn't fit the sandwich. The only plate that I've tried that wasn't complete trash was their asada fries, but even then it was way over priced. I could get way better for less money from Jalascience. After trying them over 5 times always something different, I just can't get behind their food or pricing. If you decide to go, unless you're ordering for a rabbit, steer clear of their BLT.

I’ll preface by saying, I’m used to Southern bbq (Texas, Memphis, and Carolina styles) so I expected this west coast stuff to be very different. I was pleasantly surprised to find the flavors were nicely aligned with what I like! Textures and things of that nature were quite different but still very good food! I had a 3-meat plate: Chicken, Tri-tip, and Sausage. Chicken was a little on the dry side, but the flavor was next level! Tri-Tip and sausage were excellent. Perfectly moist and flavorful. Had potato salad and beans for my sides. I’m used to thicker beans but again the flavor was excellent! On the server’s recommendation I dunked my tater salad into the beans and it was a perfect combination. Came with a piece of toast that was absolutely phenomenal! Overall, different than what I’m used to but very good spot for BBQ!

So happy we listened when recommended this place!! Super sad they didn’t have tri-tip but the chicken and sausage is super delicious! I can only imagine how everything else tastes. We’re here often picking up produce, so this will definitely be a place we stop every time we’re here. Thank God for places like this. Especially since we’re truck drivers. My husband and I split a 3 meat plate with two sides. We got 2 orders of the chicken and a sausage. The sides were the cilantro lime slaw (yuuuumm) and the asada fries (too good!!). My husband wishes they sold the slaw by the gallon lol. The hospitality was top notch. Warm and friendly! We’re looking forward to coming back and trying more items! Thank you to the owners! Everything was perfect! 🙏🙌

Pretty good food. Went there for Mothers Day. Not sure if the entire menu was available but we ordered off the much smaller menu they gave us. Each mother was given a rose which was a very nice touch. 5 star not given for small reasons. The Mother Trucker omelotte and potatoes needed a little more taste.....like maybe adding bell peppers to it. Ketchup handed out in packets.....we like it out of a bottle. Coffee came in a paper cup......we prefer a real ceramic mug. Definitely worth a visit. Black Bear Diner still number 1 around here.

UPDATE March 2023: Been there 3 more times in the past 12 months. Food is ALWAYS excellent. Especially the BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich. The service is not so great. Here is why: When you walk up to order and pay, their payment system ASKS you for a tip before you even get your food. NO WAY. I will tip if the service is above and beyond and certainly never before I even get my food! The last two times one of us was served about 5 minutes before the other person. I had my lunch almost completed before my wife was even served. And then.......my wife said "Thank You" to the lady bringing our food and she replied "NO PROBLEM". Not....sorry for the delay but NO PROBLEM. Like I said......not very good service. But the...
