Taqueria Los Amigos — Restaurant in California

Warning: if you don’t want most every burrito to be ruined for you then don’t come here.

My favorite food item ever is burritos and all other burritos pale in comparison to this restaurant.

I order a chicken burrito (only meat & beans) with a side of rice and beans, and a Coke. I’ll explain in detail why it’s the best.

1. the tortillas are house made and are absolutely DELIGHTFUL. They have a very distinct consistency, being slightly thinner than normal but they bring a lot more flavor.

2. They serve shredded chicken. It is the juiciest, most tender and most fresh chicken you’ll ever have the pleasure of shoveling into your mouth

3. The window man is the nicest, warmest soul in the whole county. I invited that man to my own wedding and all he did was serve me burritos. A masterclass in customer service.

the rice and beans are pretty good. But there’s many restaurants with similar foods. Always hits the spot here, but not especially distinguishing aspect

4. Many restaurants will have bottled Coke but usually they’re flat before they get to me. Not here, every bottle is a fresh one and I really appreciate the flavor to top off the meal.

This place is by far the best place for burritos. I go there every day for lunch, even after raising their prices for beef, I still come back almost every day. If you’re trying to get some reallllly good authentic Mexican food, this place is your go to, or will be if you’ve never been. I HIGHLY recommend this Mexican food restaurant. The staff is super courteous and friendly. Not sure what else to say other than you’re missing out and wasting money if you go to casa Ramos. I’ve lived in Chico for the last 4 years and I’ve tried taco truck after taco truck. Don’t waste your time searching, just stop by, seriously, you’ll eat the best Mexican food you’ve ever had. Great, great place! The owners are so nice and welcoming and the food is fantastic! I judge a Mexican restaurant by two simple things: the salsa that comes with the chips and their rice and beans that come with the entrees. Simple, but many places don't deliver on these.
