Victoria's Deli and Catering — Restaurant in California

We used them for a corporate event it and was awful. We called on a Thursday morning for the following Monday at lunch. We ordered sandwich platters and a few salads. On Monday morning, we called around 10:00am to add a salad to the order. They delivered everything on time, but quality was not great. A lot of the lettuce was brown, and you can tell they buy everything at wholesale and just put it together. Nothing is homemade or has flavor. The worst part was when we received the receipt via e-mail, not only did they charge us a delivered charge (which we expected) but they also charged a 20% gratuity on top of that. Then, we discovered that they charged us a second delivery charge ($10) for the added salads that we added on that morning. It was still only one delivery driver and one delivery time! So on top of the 20% gratuity, we ended up paying an extra $20 for delivery when we're only a couple miles away. Then they lectured my admin for placing the order too late. We placed 90% of the order 4 days in advance, and added two salads on that morning. For the business we were giving, I thought it was really unprofessional for them to lecture us. I've been eyeing this place for over a year. Because it's only open at lunchtime, I wasn't able to get there. I finally had the opportunity today, and the wait was worth it. I chose the most famous sandwich (I think it was called the California) which had avocado, bacon cheese, and all the good stuff in the sandwich. Don’t look for a menu online as I did it is very outdated saying the bag lunch was about 10 bucks it’s actually over 17, not a good value. Bread was stale, ingredients were ok to minimal. Cookie tasted old and frozen-ish. Potato salad was ok to bland. I wouldn’t go back to even try the other dishes. I’ve had a better sandwich at the shop and save plaza 156 gas station for 5-7 bucks.
