I have traveled from Avila Beach to the 101 Freeway & back very many times and during many hours of 24 allotted to each day. I have a personal fondness for the whole creek which also meanders through San Luis Obispo, where it has for lifetimes nourished a bevy of lifeforms, enriched the life experiences of many folks, and robbed some, in a rainstorm, of all their belongings, forcing them to hard reset the course of their lives. This San Luis Creek travels through long & winding valleys, past oil wells sucking earth blood into metal storage drums, it is fed some by deep underground hot mineral springs, which coddles people at Avila Hit Springs and closer to the ocean at Sicamore Springs & Resort, which are wonderful spots to swim, relax, receive nurturing massages by skilled practitioners, stretch or do yoga, get some sun while BBQ sizzles over open fire Pitts, the kids play sports & games, and the sureness that summer is being celebrated has finally set in!... There are also a few shops & intentionally high priced restaurants and even a couple of also Airport priced grocery stores & a huge farm to select the finest of foods and perhaps feed lettuce you acquire there to feed a lot of live farm animals most days or purchase a hay ride during the Fall & Winter Holliday Season! I think it is hard to not enjoy life more if you are with family or friends, riding bikes, walking, or even driving near the Bob Jones Trail from Avila Beach to a old parking lot with large ad- boards and a rest room (kept nice) just before the 101 freeway stops you by asking us all "Which way?... North...

Usually a great place. My family and I have been going for years. We live in the neighborhood where this market is at. However, on this visit, our experience was different..not in a positive way. We went into the market to purchase drinks. As we were purchasing them, we asked if we could use the restroom. The older woman with tattoos at the register advised we couldn’t use the restroom. I was confused because it’s pretty natural for people to have to use a restroom.. we were paying customers, regulars at the market, and our family lives in the neighborhood. She said we have to purchase an entire meal and cannot use them due to COVID. I said, okay and I hope you have a great day. She responded something in a sarcastic tone.. it was just a bit odd because if we sat inside the restaurant without masks on, eating, for 30 min or longer.. we “were allowed to use the restroom
” but if we have masks on, purchased drinks, and are in there for 5 minutes, we couldn’t use the restrooms “due to covid”. Very odd experience, very unprofessional, and the reasons she gave (“due to COVID”) really didn’t add up.. which makes me think she was acting like this for another unknown reason (and I hope not in a discriminatory kind of way
?). Very disappointed, especially when this market is a staple in...

I ordered over the phone so that I could pick up dinner on the way home from work and I can honestly say how disappointed I am by the staff. We love Woodstone and the food is amazing, I have a weakness for the chipotle chicken sandwich. However, when I called to place my order the phone rang for about three minutes with no answer so I tried calling six more times and on the 8th call a young man answered with no energy or kindness he was very rude rushing me through my ordered and when I asked what desserts were available he told me I would have to look when I got there. Halfway through my order he seemed very distracted almost as if I was wasting his time by spending my money there. Before I could ask for my total the young man hung up on me, by that point I was so annoyed I questioned whether or not to cancel and take my business somewhere else. This is not the first time the customer service has not been up to par, the younger kids that work there need a course in hospitality asap. Its a shame something like how you answer the phone and take orders could sway future customers from not having the privilege of tasting your...

If you are allergic or suffer from food intolerance, this place may make you very sick. For example, the salad pictured was billed as gluten free, dairy free by the order taker/cashier. It came with a vinaigrette that I poured over it. A vinaigrette is normally gluten and dairy free: it’s normally composed of vinegar and olive oil for a light, zippy, heart-healthy salad dressing. One can add Dijon mustard for some flavor complexity and creaminess, maple syrup or honey for a little sweetness that balances the vinegar, garlic for oomph, and salt and pepper — but cheese? Who serves a vinaigrette blended with cheese proceeds to a customer that made it very clear she will get sick due a casein (milk) intolerance if served cream, butter, or cheese? Cashier’s attitude was condescending and self righteous when asked about this post fact. Money was refunded, but I will now be sick for 3-6 days. Avoid this place until staff and things are better informed and accomodating about allergies.

We were lucky enough to find this place while we were staying at the Cliffs Hotel 10 minutes down the road. From the service, to the quality, and the overall atmosphere of this gem of a Market/Restaurant we truly can’t be more impressed! We ended up coming 3 days in a row while visiting San Luis Obispo. I truly have not found one thing to complain about. Breakfast Items we had -Oatmeal -Breakfast burrito (Sub with Tri Tip + jalapeños ) -Bagel - Fruit Plate Lunch items we had -Alex”s Burger (Added bacon, subbed with pepper jack cheese and Brioche Bun) -Marguerite Pizza -Turkey Melt -Tri Tip Sandwich Drinks - All coffee here is amazing, can’t go wrong with any! -Homemade Iced Tea (Eden’s Garden + Hibiscus) - Hazy Little thing IPA Thank you Alex, Seth, and the rest of the staff who made this experience one we will long for again!

My partner and I stopped here for brunch as we walked along the Bob Jones Trail. The food selection was better than expected, as they added more options to the breakfast menu, and there were several gluten-free choices. They are also well-stocked with local artisan food products/desserts. The staff is incredibly friendly, personable, and attentive. It's a beautiful space as well with a nice, relaxed atmosphere. However, I had to lower my overall rating because the state of the women's bathroom was just abysmal- it looked like it had been days since it was cleaned, and none of the stalls had toilet paper. To their credit, one of the staff quickly jumped in to restock after I asked. But still, I don't think the restroom being that dirty is justified, considering the restaurant wasn't particularly busy.
