We were excited to try this place as we have heard good things.
Well, that definitely wasn't our experience.
I spent 50 dollars on 1lb BBQ, smoked chicken salad, rib plate, 2 drinks, and one small banana pudding.
We ordered at the counter togo. I told them this was our first time. The woman was nice. But she totally screwed up our order.
She forgot to give us our drinks. She gave them to us after I asked for them as she was on her phone at the front counter with multiple customers present.
She put our order ticket in the completed sales ticket box, which is right by the new orders box.
So we are standing and waiting while everyone around us is being served, including the people who arrived 10 minutes after we placed the order, who sat at a table.
Finally, another waitress, not the one who took our order, asked us what name was on the ticket. She came back and said they were working on it.
10 minutes later, she asked for the name again. She came back this time and said, "I'm so sorry, but your ticket was put in the wrong box, and your food will be up in 5 minutes."
After 30 minutes of waiting, we finally went home to enjoy dinner.
Got home, and the BBQ was definitely not fresh. It tasted old, and there was gristle and weird stuff all in it. I literally couldn't eat it. I tried.
My wife couldn't finish her ribs either. She said they tasted old, too.
The smoked chicken salad was really good, and so was the banana pudding.
The waitresses were nice and the younger girl who took our order was nice too but she was clearly...
Read moreI haven't done a review in while but I HAD TO. We used to go to JRs in Lynn Haven since we live there but Seabreeze is always our first choice. We stopped there first and they had sold out (not surprising) so my husband said, what about JRs. There's 1 waitress literally running back and forth to cars at full speed with drinks, bags, in and out of the store all with no gloves. We ordered 2 rib sandwiches and 2 peach cobbler. We sit in the car watching this poor waitress do her best to deliver food, take orders everything for about 30 mins. She brings the order and says $38 something....we're like geez, then we look at the ticket and its actually $40! (RECEIPT ATTACHED) At this point I'm like wth! The ribs were fatty, thin, greasy and kinda tough and NOTHING like I remembered. We were so disappointed! For 2 sandwich plates they gave us 2 little BBQ sauces. My husband and I decided to drive and sit and eat (away from our kids lol) well I like desert first but guess what? The beach cobbler was frozen solid! At this point I'm fuming! Like really! We called back and she insisted we could just "pop it in the microwave", I said do you have any that's fresh and cooked there, she said no if you want it warm come back and I'll put it in the microwave here. We tipped the friendly waitress but I'll NEVER EVER EVER spend another dime. They should be ashamed of these prices. I'm sitting at Seabreeze writing this review and we got 2 rib sandwiches, 2 drinks and 2 desserts...
Read moreIt will started with the smell outside, undeniably enticing. I remembered coming here years ago after a Springfield founders day festival, that was special to me because it was the last time I'd ever gone out to eat with my adopted mom, R.I.P. Their tea really is something special. You can tell they really are proud of their tea and that this restaurant decides time to cleaning their tea urns, and it's just the right amount of sugar, sweetly Southern but not saccharine sweet like the stuff at McDonald's. So that was like icing on the cake as far as being welcomed with which I felt right at home by their staff. Y'all- don't sleep on their banana pudding, it's always on sale and even their Nilla wafers are perfection-still crunchy and not at all stale, it's the perfect consistency too. I couldn't wait till after my meal to have my dessert XD Their potato salads unlike any I've ever had definitely not from the Walmart. Their special of the day was perfect for lunch. They believe in their product, like I can't wait to come back and try their burger, they're talking it up with other guests. This place has been here as long as I can remember and I can tell why it's stood the test of time. It's kind of encouraging learning they hardly have slow days which to me suggests to how much everyone else believes in it, too, so hopefully my kids can enjoy this place years to come like I...
