There was a shard that looked like glass or a piece of sharp tile or something miscellaneous in my spicy chicken sandwich. I immediately turned around and came back. Mind you,I waited 25min in drive-thru,this was today 6/26/25,not the norm but the inside was closed. So I came to the door and explained to one worker who listened respectfully but as soon as the manager on shift came,it immediately turned accusatory as if I was scamming for a sandwich. The young black lady working the evening shift (This happened around 8:00,flat out said she doesn't believe me after I showed it to her in a McDonalds napkin and said she doesn't see mayonnaise on it. I obviously cleaned it off to see what it was and brought it back and she said she don't believe me. I said I'm not scamming,I drive a 2025 and I'm a union mill worker,I can pay for the sandwich but cannot wait 25mins again. She left me outside the door for 10mins to wait me out to see if I left. One worker came and said this is McDonald's and everyone scams. I just said I drove all the way back here dressed business casual to scam a sandwich? Eventually I left but I can't get over what Rod's store has become. This location has become horrible, mostly because of too many young employees with a bleek outlook on the customers and overall service. I will not be patronizing this particular franchise anymore. The manager was beyond rude. I'm sure I'm not the first to have this complaint or be the last as regards service and too many young kids. Not enough adult supervision. Thank you for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI visited about two weeks ago and ordered dine-in items at the kiosk. There is no paper in the machine, so I don't receive a receipt. I'm sitting at the table with my numbered placeholder for over fifteen minutes. Someone finally checks on me, and eventually, it's explained that someone else took my meal when the number was called. The order is remade and brought to me... in a bag. I send it back to be put on a tray (takes forever), and it comes back missing the fries. I'm given a large, although I ordered a medium to make up for all of the chaos. My thing is, the chaos could have been avoided. If my order is for dine-in, why is anyone calling it out instead of looking for my numbered placard? I mean, if the kiosk didn't print a receipt, then I wouldn't know the order number anyway. If it's for dine-in, why is it in a bag instead of on a tray? I am unsure whether this job requires a high school diploma or not, but everything that we do in life requires common sense. The first excuse people use is that it's in the "hood." If I'm paying the same prices in Gary, Indiana, that I'm paying in Munster, Indiana, then I expect the same service and fresh food that I get in Munster. If that can't happen,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAug,19,2023 Saturday at 7:40am I walked in and took my order on the monitors. Person at the register was already taking orders I had paid and everything at 8:02am waiting for my order didn't come out until 9:04am from my perspective understanding that they are packed in the mornings no problem but the fact that they are leaving 1 person in charge and no one is listening to while she is still training(curley hair with pink sandy checks) there was no kind of order with in the kitchen coocks had a messy floors underneath them looked like they haven't cleaned the floor in 2 days some workers looked like they didn't wanted to work. Kitchen staff wasn't even listening to the one who was in charge. And to top things off, one of the workers had told me that my order was not on the screen while I was trying to tell her that her other co-worker had taken my order off the screen. Management was way off putting the new hired ppl on weekends knowing how busy it is, especially if they are not fully trained. If I could, I would give them no stars what so ever. But it's okay it's McDonald's. I can't expect more. I wonder how many violations it takes to actually take action and concern on a multi-billion...
