Los Tres Amigos - Calvert City — Restaurant in Calvert City

Waited an hour to get my very simple to go order. Paid ahead of time AND left a tip and I really regret that. Kind of ridiculous that 4-5 families got seated and their food before I got my to-go! After waiting so long I asked for my money back and to just forget the order and the guy went to the back for another 10 mins and finally came back with my food. Just ridiculous and will not be returning.

Being busy is one thing, but poor service and not informing paying customers that it will be longer than the 20 minutes I was told on the phone is just rude. Not to mention I was holding my 3 month old the entire time.

EDITED TO ADD: google does not have a response feature that I know of for me to respond to the owner's message. So...clearly your best was not done or it wouldn't have taken an hour for me to get my food. Also, NOBODY was transparent in that it would take longer. I was ignored by every staff member. I stood by the register waiting and waiting, desperately trying to keep my new baby content. I even had to take her out to the car and run the A/C since your restaurant was burning up. I will NEVER be back to a place that doesn't offer to make things right and instead wants me to continue spending my hard earned money there, leaving me to hope that I will receive a better experience. This place is overrated.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING all around! We were shocked because we had looked everywhere for a bbq restaurant open on Christmas eve. When we got off the highway and found out the bbq place was closed we decided to just pick anything nearby. We picked the only place open Los Tres Amigos! We were not disappointed at all and actually enthusiastically surprised. The building exterior does not match the amazing people, authentic beyond delicious food, and clean beautiful pleasant atmosphere. After we tried the complimentary chips and salsa I knew they were going to deliver some quality food. Fresh hot tortilla chips and fresh salsa you can taste the tomatoes! We ordered the supremos nachos with fajitas on it (like the fajita nachos).. Best nachos hands down and we eat nachos everywhere we go. My son asked for nacho cheese but what the waiter brought out was queso heaven! Shrimp salad was beautifully decorated and super fresh. Los tres amigos Mexican chili was hearty and warm, perfect for my chili loving husband. Street tacos were so authentic and the salsa on the side gave a great kick of spicy. The California burrito was HUGE and cheezzzzzzy flavorful fresh and excellent. For dessert my kids got the churros and fried ice cream those as well we above our expectations. I've dined here a few times and I've always been happy with the food. On most recent visit though, despite decent food and great service, I have made the decision to not return. On every visit previously, I've found the floors around the restrooms to be incredibly slick at all times, but on my last visit, this condition spread to the entire dining room floor. I walk with a cane and almost fell what seemed like a hundred times just getting to the table and back out. I've honestly walked on ice with less issue. I asked the server what was going on and they believed it was a humidity issue, but I don't think so. While that may be a factor, I believe it is related to the wrong choice of chemicals in their mopping and/or their mopping practices. All I know is that, while the food is good, it is not worth the risk to life and limb for me to enter this establishment anymore. I just cannot even begin to explain how slick the floor truly was.
