My wife and I have been there a few times. Food was good but the service was only decent. We attempted to eat there about a month ago. Made reservations and were seated within a few minutes. A waitress came up and said she would be waiting on us. She then passed by us a few times and did not even acknowledge us. Did not ask us if we wanted water or a beverage. Nothing. Another group was seated at the table next to us and were waited on while we were still sitting there wondering what the heck happened. We kept waiting with people working there passing by us like we were invisible. The whole place seemed totally disorganized, like there was no process or logic to how they were running things. We finally gave up and left.

Today, we decided to give the place one more chance. Same thing happen. We were seated and waited. About five minutes later, after no one had even acknowledged us, we finally gave up and left. Also, on the way in we had passed by another couple that had also given up and left. They told us that they had the same experience - waited and waited and no one waited on them.

The food is decent but the place comes across like they have an attitude and lacks a focus on true customer service. I tried to give some direct and candid feedback to an older woman who was working there and she stated that they had a new cook, implying what was what was causing the issues.

The new cook was not the issue with the poor service we were experiencing; the initial impression when we first arrived and got seated was that the wait staff were not well-trained and for the most part, lacked good customer service skills. I will point out that in the past, we were really impressed by a couple of the waitresses that served us. Today, the person who seated us was nice and pleasant but then no one served us and our general impression was that the same situation was playing out again, that had happened the last time we were there.

The wait staff are terribly inconsistent and the restaurant does not have there processes down to handle when the place is busy. Seems the wait staff has been poorly trained. We live about 15 minutes from there and will...

Best Breakfast I can remember., Sierra was our waitress, extremely good service and a very sweet girl.

Felt more like we were invited guests in a bed and breakfast, ( yes it's a cafe) but you are made to feel like guests at an inn.

We ordered the "Family Breakfast"

Started with a very large cinnabon like roll, (would be a meal by itself,) followed by a fresh fruit platter, then a plate of biscuits and sausage gravy, Eggs and thick bacon, and sausage links.

The sausage gravy and biscuits was the best I ever had, the thick bacon was awesome, the sausage was great, and the fresh blue berries were very sweet and perfectly ripe, there was also fresh blackberries, grapes and cantaloupe on the fruit plate.

My son ordered a bacon grilled cheese sandwich that he said was very good.

Lastly, we grabbed some oatmeal cookies and brownie from the glass case upon leaving.

Later we had them, I wish we had bought more, they were super good.

Everything on the menu was under 20.00, this same meal in Seattle would be 50.00 per plate, and this place looks like a lodge and has a water view.

It's obviously a new owner since our last visit.

It was pretty good before, now it's super astonishingly good.

Thankyou Sierra and Scott for a delicious breakfast and a phenomenal breakfast experience.

We told them that my wife has a strawberry allergy, the manager came out and made sure that we knew that the platter of fruit would be put together separately with new gloves.

Ive eaten in a lot of restaurants, never felt so welcome and enjoyed my breakfast so much.

I would like to mention there is outdoor dinning with a water view, but weather was chilly today, there wasn't anyone out there. Lastly, the coffee...

The server was not good at all. Slow (it took 10 minutes to get our drinks at brunch, we sat at an empty table after eating for 20 minutes waiting for a check to be brought), didn’t listen (my date ordered Swedish pancakes with no sour cream and the server immediately asks “it comes with berries and sour cream is that ok”, didn’t relay information from the kitchen when things were out of stock (I ordered a cinnamon roll, and our food came out from a runner so I asked if the pasty had been forgotten in the kitchen and he said “oh no we are out of those today. Did you order a cinnamon roll? I’ll have the server remove it), over charged me for an item (menu said single biscuit and gravy was $4, charged me $11.50), then argued with me about the price. I asked her to grab a menu and look for herself, she saw the price in the menu was different “read less” than what she charged me for, then said she couldn’t fix or change it! She was trying to make an adjustment and using the machine that charges your card at the table, decided to tip herself 20% after so many issues with our experience, while trying to “fix” the incorrectly priced item on our bill. Since she couldn’t figure it out, she just took tip money and repayed me the $7.50 she overcharged me. That was nice of her to do, but she didn’t need to push my card through with a 20% tip when that level of tip wasn’t warranted. Food was good, service from this server was the worst I’ve ever...

Great location, beautiful views, unique location within a State park with very limited parking. Very difficult to locate since GPS is unavailable. To make matters worse, THEY DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE. Made Mothers Day reservations and looked forward to regular brunch menu posted on website which looked delicious. Arrived to a bait and switch brunch only buffet at $40 a person, no Ala Carte menu. Food in chaffing dishes, but warn at best. Potatoes cold, biscuits with gravy that split, eggs Benedict with overcooked eggs and fatty ham, sausage was lukewarm, bacon was yummy but cold. Pastries, scones, cookies and deserts were yummy. Staff was nice, helpful and accommodating for situation. I could hear other tables complain to each other about cold food and price. Great potential here, but a COMPLETE FAIL HERE.

My fiancé and I came here on a whim since we had both never been, but live nearby and have visited the park itself many times. We didn't make a reservation, but were still seated in under 10 minutes (we showed up around 10:30). The view was beautiful and the staff went above and beyond to make our visit wonderful. He and I both got the Smoked Salmon Benedict. It was light on the stomach and incredibly delicious. The side potatoes were seasoned and cooked perfectly. My fiancé got a Cappuccino and I got a Mimosa. The mimosa was refreshing and he seemed to really enjoy his coffee. Before checking out and leaving my fiancé grabbed a blueberry scone to go, which he couldn't rave enough about afterwords. Overall we had a great experience. We are excited to have future dates here and try what other great dishes they have to offer.
