Giza Caribbean Cuisine — Restaurant in Camden

The food in this place is sooo good, they could actually start a religion with it!!! Of which I would be a more than willing disciple! I first tried their Curry Goat with beans & rice and some cabbage. You know how they say, "The food is so good it will make you slap yo momma"? (Well, I didn't think she would press charges.) So after I made bail, I went STRAIGHT to Giza!!! This time I ordered Ox Tails with Mac & cheese, and cabbage. Hmmmm hmmm!!!! Poor Mom! I figured as I awaited bail I would write this review. (Yeah, she pressed charges AGAIN!!) So I offer two pieces of advice....if you want to treat, or BE treated to some of the FINEST Caribbean cuisine this side of the Rockies, take yourself over to Giza Caribbean restaurant!!! Oh yeah, and however tempting it may be, (The food IS that GOOD!) Please, please, PLEASE...don't slap yo Mama!!!......WARNING: If you order the Stewed Fish, there WILL be a wait! They tell you this in advance. BUT...they tell you the wait will be about 20 minutes. Turns out the wait was more like TWO HOURS!!!! The fish was so good, the following week I ordered it AGAIN!! I was told there would be a 20 min wait AGAIN, and AGAIN it was near a TWO HOUR WAIT!!!! Now, I'm a patient sort of fella, and in my head I tried to reason why such crazy wait times. I thought maybe the boat wouldn't start! I thought maybe the fish weren't biting! I thought maybe they're importing the fish from Jamaica!! 2HOURS!!!!! Other than a weak apology, no other kind of courtesy was extended. Not an extra slice of bread, nor a teaspoon of extra gravy...NOTHING!!! However the food was AMAZING!!! I'm giving three stars because I order from this place a lot, I mean a lot and I like them. They are kind enough to call me when they're out of something. However, the last three times my fish has been broken, with today being the worst and days where it's a lot of scales left on the fish. It doesn't look appetizing at all trying to squeeze the big fish into a medium container. There's also days the oxtail are very inconsistent. I like the flavor of the yams. The curry chicken is good and the jerk chicken is great. I choose them over all the other local places, but my rating is because of these important things. I'll change...
