Reviewed by Cheri Buckmaster 🥗🍤🐔🐂🍟
Since it was a gorgeous day, we decided to boat up the Big Niangua and stop for an early dinner at Pebble Bay.
We were warmly welcomed and had our choice of tables. Ella was our server and she took great care of us! We had been here when they just opened and we wanted to know if they were as great as before. THEY WERE!
The dining area was indoor/outdoor as the garage style doors were up, tables were inside, outside and under the porch area. We chose the porch area out of the sun. The servers/staff were all very welcoming.
Our appetizers came quickly. They were large smoked wings. Great favor, meaty and moist!
I got the evening special. It was really delicious! Parmesan crusted chicken cutlet over mashed potatoes with caramelized peppers and onions. Topped with lemon pepper alfredo sauce! The ingredients really melded together to give it an excellent flavor! It was a very large serving and I took half home!
Brisket sandwich with fries. The brisket was very tender and juicy Chicken thighs were smoked and tender and juicy. The salad had very large shrimp!
The desserts were excellent! The Tiramisu was drizzled with caramel sauce. The creme broulee had just the right amount of crystalized sugar. The white chocolate cake was very moist and light!
Everything was top notch and a great dining experience! We will...

The atmosphere was great. Server was very pleasant (Baily). Live music was good. Drinks were good. Food was NOT good. Three out of five entrees were inedible. 1. Ribs needed a knife to get off the bone. 2. Brisket French Dip was extremely tough and they left huge pieces of fat on it (it was sliced incorrectly: flat and with the grain). According to the menu it should have come with peppers and onions, but those were not on the sandwich, and fries were cold. 3. The PBC Triple Pig (pulled pork, ham, bacon): the ham was tough, the pulled pork must have been sitting for hours in a warmer because it was rock hard, the bacon was under cooked. Our server agreed with our complaints when we showed her the condition of our food and went to speak to the owner/manager(?). They discounted the bill for the sandwiches, but then added a charge for the sides that are included with the entrees. Overhearing some of the servers talk with each other it was heard that they had recently fired the GM and were having big issues with the kitchen.
I want places on the water to succeed, but if they can't correct their problems, they will not be here next...
Read moreSo sad it literally breaks my heart. I worked there from before they even opened and had such high hopes for the place. I worked hard for the owners and it was just a no-brainer that the place was going to be a hit. Until the mail owner decided he was going to step in make every decision micromanage fire what was a gem of a team and in the process is probably dragging his wonderful wife Michelle into financial ruin because his ego is so big and he refuses to listen to anybody who knows what they're doing. If he just stayed in Kansas City and had kept his previous team of trustworthy hard workers who had nothing but his best interest in their minds the place would be a smash the food would be delicious and it would always be packed. Joe Sweeney you must sit and think at night about all the bad choices that you have made. You said when you fired me well you didn't fire me you had someone else do it. But you told me about my bad decisions I would consider it more my twisted sense of humor but your bad decisions wow! Sell the place Joe go run your magazine and let Pebble Bay or whatever the next owners want to call it be the hit that you built it to be for deciding to ruin it...
