As coffee shops can be fickle with coffee consistency I typically wait to post reviews until I've visited at least a few times. Thankful I did because the coffee here has been quite the rollercoaster.
First time I visited, I was pleasantly surprised with the drink I ordered. It was delicious, not overly sweet like corporate coffee shops, and I was excited to be so close so this could become my new local stop. I'm a daily coffee shop visitor, so finding something I loved here was perfect!
Second time I visited, I ordered the same coffee. I couldn't believe it was the same coffee. Didn't taste anything like the first. I'm actually not quite sure what it was but it was borderline not drinkable. I should have sent it back but the young girls working are very sweet and I didn't want to make them feel bad, so I did not. That's on me. I ended up dumping it out.
Third time, same thing happened. Ordered the same coffee and this time I ordered three of them. One for me, my brother, and my partner. I'm fairly positive mine was water with maybe a shot of espresso, I'm unsure. There was an order ahead of ours so it took about 20 minutes for ours to I finally come out, and there was two people after us, so we didn't have time to wait for remakes. Walked right outside and dumped it out. Tried my partner's coffee, similar, but somehow worse, like there was water and a double shot, but that's all. Also dumped it. My brother's coffee was better than the other two, but still nothing like the first visit. He was at least able to drink it.
The girls that work here are incredibly kind. They certainly try but it seems like there is a vast lack of barista training. There should be an experienced barista on staff at all times. Coffee consistency is crucial, especially at a price point that is very, very close to corporate coffee shops (maybe $0.30 cheaper here per cup). Three large coffees was just over $18.
So, because this is a local shop and I'm a huge proponent of supporting local businesses, I will try it again after some time away. I will update this review accordingly. Fingers crossed it...
Read moreI have had the coffee at the Clarksville Coffee place (that’s what I call it) a couple of times and the first time it was pretty good. A whole lot of milk and not much coffee, but not too bad. The second time I purchased a drink it was not good at all. I want to like it, I really do, but it just wasn’t good the second time. On Ox Roast Day 2025 our family stopped in to hopefully get some ice cream. I looked everywhere for prices and they were not listed anywhere. So we waited in line and I asked the cashier what the price of a medium cup of ice cream costs. The cashier had no idea what the price was (could have been new) so she looked it up on the computer. $6 dollars for a medium cup of ice cream was a bit much for a family of 4 so we decided to leave. While I was there I noticed that there were no prices listed for anything. Instead our family went to dollar general and bought 1 gallon of ice cream for $5. I want to like this place. I really do. But I just can’t justify spending such a large amount of money on coffee that just doesn’t taste good. All this being said the atmosphere with the old arcade games is...
Read moreNo food, purchased drinks. We visited on day two of soft open. Friendly workers. Lovely clean atmosphere. Drinks were good and could use a little adjustments (it was only day two of soft open). Hot chocolate needed a little more chocolate flavor. Hot latte was very milky with little coffee flavor. Prices very reasonable and wide range of sizes and drink options. We plan to...
