I normally do not leave a review that is this bad, but I was really unimpressed with this restaurant. We love supporting locally owned businesses as opposed to large chain restaurants, but we may not come back. We arrived and the greeter asked if we had a reservation, which we did not know we needed one. She rolled her eyes and said it would be a 10 minute wait. We were fine with that. Until 3 other couples came in after us, who also did not have reservations, but seemed to know her. She told them to have a seat and she'd get them in no problem. I guess you have to know them to get friendly service. We sat there for a half hour while tables were cleared and the one server looked like she was going to seat us, but had a very large conversation about how the greeter wanted to seat the other people first. So we were finally seated at the tiniest table shoved at the last minute at the end of a party of 8 people who did not look happy to have us there. We waited another 40 minutes for the food to come, during which time we had 2 slices of bread. I had the cavatelli with light sauce. It came with exactly 2 Tablespoons of sauce. My friend asked for a cheeseburger well done. His came burnt on the outside and almost rare on the inside. The waiter looked like he didn't even want to be there, so we declined to say anything. I didn't realize how stuck up this place actually was. We...
Read moreNice atmosphere, friendly staff and busy but the food wasn't that good. I always judge a restaurant by the bread and the salad they serve. Generally if they put a lot of care into these two things the entree is usually excellent. Well, sorry to say AngeNettas does not put a lot of care into either of these. The bread tasted like something out of the bag at the grocery store, the whipped butter tasted like the poorest quality whipped margarine, the salad was mostly head lettuce and they serve the salad dressing in a refrigerated plastic cup! My entree is not what I expected and would definitely not order again. I can't understand why they are so busy. Maybe their specialty is pasta and I ordered the wrong thing. I guess AngeNettas...
Read moreAnge Nettaâs is an old Canfield Italian staple. My grandparents used to eat here all the time. So I was so excited to come here for the first time in many years.
Which makes this review so sad and disappointing for me to write. Service took foreverrrrr. My waitress couldnât have been nicer. But took too long (in my opinion) to come by and check on us. And then I get the lasagna. Tastes fine. But is really kind of a just too saucy and mushy. Canât even find or taste the noodles. And the lasagna is just drenched in sauce.
The biggest disappointment of all is that they microwave everything. You can tell because the plate and outside of the food is scalding hot, but the inside of it...
