D & G Pizza & Pub — Restaurant in Canterbury

I just moved to the area about 1 minute down the road and decided to give this place a try. To be completely honest i didn't expect much from a pub. Long story short, I've been eating here the last 5 days in a row. The food is really good. Everything I've tried has been absolutely delicious. Out of every day I've been eating here there has only been 1 thing I'm not completely impressed with and thats the clam chowder. Even though im not overly impressed with it, it still tastes good. Its just watery like a soup and not thick and creamy like a chowder. Everything else I've tried has been absolutely delicious. I will post photos of all the things I ordered. I usually order a couple or a few things at a time when I first try a new place I've never been to. The staff is friendly. The establishment is clean. I really really enjoy this place. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

5)Burbon Steak tips with jasmine rice (The sauce for this dish is usually not good when ordered at a restaurant. Either too sweet or too watery. But this dish here at d & g's, I can't find a single complaint about it. Very impressed.

I really want to like D&G however, they make it very difficult. 3 times in a row we ordered a CHEESEBURGER pizza and 3 times in a row they delivered a cheeseburg pizza. Called and spoke with the owner after the 3rd time who was very pleasant and offered a gift card (which we declined, we just wanted to make him aware). A couple of weekends ago we ordered and the same mistake was made, when I called to tell them the girl working stated “and what do you want me to do about it?” And then quickly tried to backtrack with “I’m not trying to be rude but..” and then today they forgot to pack a part of our order in the bag so my husband had to drive back out there twice. It was the same girl as mentioned above and she acted as if my husband caused the mistake. Totally understand they’re a locally owned business trying to keep their head above water after a pandemic however, we give them at least $100 a week to often be disappointed due to...

After going on a long hike with the family, we decided to stop at a local pizza restaurant for some much needed re-feuling (my 13 year old picked). We were promptly seated by a very friendly waitress who was kind enough to quickly bring a booster seat for my 3 year old. We chose to start with some chicken wings and were surprised to find that these wings we VERY GOOD. We kind of regretted only getting them as an appetizer. Soon afterward, the two large pizzas we ordered came out steaming hot. My wife rarely eats pizza, but had to try it. She pulled out the first piece and told me "You have got to try this" (like I wouldn't). She was right. The pizza was very very good. Pros - Great food Great service Very convenient location Cons - There didn't seem to be a bargain for ordering a larger amount of wings.
