Coffee Haus — Restaurant in Canton Township

Before embarking on our Saturday morning road-trip to go to the Toledo Zoo, we found this lovely independent coffee shop that uses high end Italian coffee beans & makes everything with the best ingredients. It’s owned by a lovely Albanian woman, Linda, who opened it in Canton during COVID. The French croissants that we each ordered were soft & still warm from the oven. I felt like I was transported back to Paris. So good! I had a Nutella & banana & my husband had a smoked ham & Swiss. Needless to say, I know that Coffee Haus is destined to be my new favorite neighborhood coffeehouse to hang out, chill & relax. Regulars came in & Linda knew their names & orders.

I tried a specialty drink that Coffee Haus serves that originated during the Turkish Empire called Salep. It’s a warm milky comfort drink with a hint of sweetness. I felt like I was getting a warm hug from my mom when I drank it. There is no caffeine. Linda said a lot of people order their Salep for consumption @ Coffee Haus in order to take their time & enjoy drinking it slowly from one of the Coffee Haus in store ceramic mugs.

We stopped by the Coffee Haus again on Sunday morning, before starting our hiking & photography expedition @ Kensington Park. I got my standard nonfat cappuccino w/ cinnamon powder sprinkled on top. The coffee was definitely on point & the best I’ve had since we relocated to MI from CA about one year ago.

I stumbled upon this hidden gem of a coffee shop, and I couldn't be happier with my discovery! This family-owned coffee shop has quickly become my go-to spot for a delightful breakfast experience.

Everyone has seen the “Friends” series and the coffee spot where they all hang out, right? That spot is called Central Perk. The atmosphere is so warm and everyone is so friendly. This is how the Coffee Haus is for me and my group of friends and family. It’s our hang out place. We love everything about this place from the coffee drinks to the house made tiramisu, the turkey club, the caprese sandwiches, the crispy and oh so buttery croissants and everything else they offer. The owners, Linda and Beni are always so nice and very attentive to their costumers. They truly care for us. They always check on us to see how everything was and always with a genuine smile in their faces. I love the Coffee Haus! I highly recommend it. Go alone or with friends you will always enjoy a nice warm cup of coffee, lunch or dessert here.

Oh and the decor changes with the season. Love what Sara does with the seasonal decor. Always minimal and very elegant. Can’t wait for spring to go out in the patio and sip a nice cuppa joe. 😍
