Shorty's Lunch — Restaurant in Canton Township

I remember the days when I would have given 10 stars if I could but these days I can't anymore. The food is still the same but the service at this location is lackluster at best. I will say that a recent issue I had with an order that I got through the drive-thru was corrected by the owner once I finally got in touch with him but it took 3 weeks of me complaining to so called management that was supposed to be giving messages to the owner to call me that I finally got in touch with him and he happened to be there and answered the phone and told me he never got any message from me and he profusely apologized and when I explained what happened he was not surprised due to other complaints he had received from others and he told me that my next visit was free and it was because he left a note and told the worker named Jim that it was complimentary so it's great that he took care of me but until the kids that are working there actually start caring about doing the job right I don't expect future visits to get much better service wise. I was turned away at the drive through at 6:50pm during the week because they closed early. Apparently the drive thru window must also be broken since it couldn’t even be opened as a courtesy to speak to me face to face. I was reading lips and watching hand gestures meaning “closed” that the girl was making at the window while I was reading the paper that was posted right next to her stating the hours were until 7 Monday- Saturday and closed on Sunday. She proceeded to tell me they don’t get the business so they decided to close early… Not really sure that the 10 minutes is really going to cut down on labor cost or expenses. But I notified the second customer pulling in the lot as I left that they were closed as well. She was less than impressed herself. …. So congrats on turning away money and business, from not just one but 2 people especially right now. Guess I will give my money to a chain restaurant tonight since I couldn’t be served during POSTED...

Our experience at Shortys was unlike any other. From the top to bottom the employees treated us with respect and a friendly smile. As visitors from out of town we found a home away from home. Their hot dogs (the Shortys way) was a great and fast meal option when on the go. We couldn't be happier with the service and environment that will have you wish you could stay for dinner too! Their drive-thru is very convenient but we recommend going in to experience the great atmosphere of Shortys. Food was fast and their fries with Gravy really hit the spot.
