Our First Camper Trip – 50/50 Experience at Low Key RV, Cedar Key

This was our very first trip with our travel camper. I thought I had done my homework, but… lesson learned. Check-in was super easy, and the people were genuinely sweet and accommodating.

The spot itself is cute, but it’s located right off the main road—so it was pretty noisy, especially at night. That could be on me for not researching better. Cedar Key is a lovely little town doing its best to bounce back after a few hard hits from hurricanes.

Our biggest issue: on our very first night and first day working remotely, someone was weed-whacking right next to our camper—and we were the only ones there. The weed whacker sent rocks flying, and we ended up with multiple dents in our brand-new camper. No apology, no accountability. That really put a damper on things.

Overall, it’s a 50/50. Sweet people, easy check-in, nice spot—but the road noise and careless maintenance made it hard to...

We came to FL for a vacation. We were just exploring the area and decided to stop here. The place itself is a cool spot right on the water. Unfortunately, Rachel ruined the whole experience for us. I had to ask twice for menus while sitting around for a while. She was just super unfriendly and rude. Very unwelcoming and poor service skills. The drinks were good and the food wasn't too bad. Had the eggrolls and fish bites for appetizers. Then, I got the parrot tacos and fish tacos. Rachel didn't check on us at all, and the other two older gals actually checked on us instead. They were both running around and doing a great job picking up the slack. I didn't get either of their names, but they were both hard-working and super friendly. They split tips evenly, which seems unfair since Rachel wasn't working nearly as hard as the...

Just visited for the first time and I cannot say enough good things about this place. Relaxed and inviting atmosphere. I was welcomed with my dog to sit on the many tables just outside of the main bar and restaurant area. They even provide a water bowl for your dog! 🙂 For lunch I had the shrimp fajitas. To be honest, it was more like a shrimp taco... But they were so completely delicious that I don't care what they were called. These were loaded with fresh local shrimp, and the sweet tangy marinade with the peppers blended so perfectly with the light sweet flavor of the shrimp. I did not expect to find lunch food this good at a random tiki bar. But Low Key Tiki definitely delivered. Five stars is an understatement for my experience with the food, the staff, and the atmosphere. My dog and I are both...

The best week spent on island time at all of our favorite places— Fort Myers Beach, Pine Island and Siesta Key. These are the days of my dreams🤍🌴

My wife and I stopped here a few times between March 24-26, 2025 while on a three day camping trip on Pine Island. The staff was all very friendly and the laid back and enjoyable atmosphere perfectly matches the venue's name. It sits on a mostly residential canal and there is a marina on either side of it. They serve good, fresh made to order food, but they only have a beer and wine license, even though they make wine-based Margaritas. You can also catch a canal cruise on the Cruising Tiki on the backside of the restaurant. It's definitely worth stopping at if you are visiting St. James City or the south end of Pine Island.
