The views are amazing! They are some of the best around and cannot be beat. We are thrilled they have been able to rebuild and come back after the hurricane. The space is beautiful and the views are amazing! It was busy when we arrived so we sat at the (smaller) bar for a drink. The 45 minute wait was finished in the blink of an eye. Our bartender was super and we were all encouraged that this would be a great place to have a meal. The restaurant was busy and our server was busy but that’s okay. The ahi tuna appetizer was great (just a touch too much sauce but if you like horseradish like we do, it was perfect!). Our order came promptly and was correct. We ordered the scallop platter (fried), the crab cake entree, and the shrimp + grits. As I mentioned everything was served promptly, our server seemed slammed, and never really seemed concerned if we were good. She did ask once but we never saw her again except when she plopped more glasses of water on our table. That’s all okay. It happens. But guess what?! I don’t know if it’s because it is considered “outside” or because it’s considered a “bar” but you can smoke. This is terribly annoying and disgusting. And this is one reason why I’m giving the atmosphere a low score. Plus people can stand behind the barstools and smoke…they are practically standing closer to our table then the bar. Our food was hot but all very dried out. In addition, the food all seemed to be frozen not fresh. Although good, it just wasn’t the “fresh seafood” meal we were hoping for. It’s a great place to bring out of town guests as the views are amazing. Again, the wait was long but passed quickly. The staff is great and friendly. The food is okay but not great. Definitely come here for the views with friends, you won’t be...
Read moreWe were soooo excited to come here for our last night before we headed back home to Germany. We are a family working for the military, overseas. The last time we were at the boathouse, we had such a blast and had such a great time, we wanted to have this experience again, and we got disappointed. 🥲
I called in about 20 minutes before we arrived, as i knew from the last time already that u dont take reservations. Ms. Vazenca (lady with heavy acne) was already with attitude over the phone, stating she couldn't do a whole lot, i let her know, i know, i just wanted us to be on the waitlist. Once we arrived, she called me already by my first name, and i was happy; and thought, cool, and that is where it started, Ms. V and the tattooed girl (neck and arms, i didn't get her name), starting wispering, giggling, rolling their eyes, and then telling me (and my party of 7!!) we have to wait. I understand but to a certain point, first of all, the restaurant had barley 30 people, so enough space to seat us and then the tatooed girl had the guts to take a party of 6 that came in after us, first. It was EMPTY. Rude !! It was pretty sad how customer service has been provided at ur restaurant.. They should take an example of Ms. ASHLEY 🥰 our waitress at our table. This lady was phenomenal ❣️❣️❣️ what a smile, what a great service, she was a sunshine. That's how customers want to be treated, not like little high school girls, that dont know what they are doing, or had a bad day, or couldn't wait to go home.
The food has not wowed us this time 🥲 it was all on the dry side, especially the fish. We were actually a bit disappointed with the overall...
Which was really sad, as we were really looking forward to this last...
Read moreVery good seafood restaurant.
The location on the water is beautiful. Totally tropical atmosphere and fun vibe. I felt like Jimmy Buffet should be sitting next to me at the bar.
We had a party of 7 which included 3 kids. They all ate their lunch with no complaints so their food must of been good.
The crab cakes was the only appetizer we ordered. It was delicious and the mango sauce was great.
The Blackened Mahi will require frozen drinks! It was very much like a real cajun blackened fish. Excellent flavour. One of the best I have ever had. Filet was thick and moist. Great entree.
We also had the grouper bites. They were good. Not greasy or oily. I loved the breading. This is a great traditional classic fried fish meal.
Live music, the view and staff were all top shelf. I cannot say enough about the ambiance. That being said, get ready to wait. Call 30 min in advance to get on the wait list. Sat night was a 2 hour wait, so we opted for Sunday lunch. It was packed.
The beer, wine and cocktail menu is pretty good. Not overly priced. My drink was called The Pain Killer. Yeah....1 was all it took!!
If you are anywhere on the Cape, this is the place to eat!! Good luck...
