Churchill & Beers Neighborhood Grill — Restaurant in Capitola

We ate at Churchill this last week when trying to find a place to grab dinner in the area. It's a fairly small little bar and grill, but we had no problem getting a table for 5. Our waiter was fantastic, making some great recommendations and being patient with our questions. I'm always trying to find a good fish and chips, and he assured me theirs was good and didn't just come out of a grocery freezer aisle. It did not disappoint, and I really enjoyed it. We had an early dinner yesterday at the newly opened Churchill and Beers restaurant - took over the spot in Aptos where Sid’s used to be. It was AWESOME! We ordered the firecracker shrimp, the wings, and a margarita pizza, and everything was yummy. And their menu is extensive - definitely something for everyone - pizza, burgers, salads, sandwiches, great appetizers. Our server, Elaine shared that it was her first day, and she did a great job! Now this is what a hometown bar & grill should be like. Great menu selections whether you're into comfort food or want to try something a little special like the bacon wrapped firecracker prawns. Wife got the chili with cornbread and I got the western bacon buger. Also ordered apps firecracker prawns and blackened ahi. Add a couple beers while watching dodgers padres game and you have a winner! Wife happy, I'm happy. Dave made sure we had everything we needed and would stop by to check on us throughout the visit.
