Don Luna — Restaurant in Carbondale

Don Luna / Luna Tacos is the closest Mexican restaurant for anyone living in the Cedar Lake area. Anna is way too far to drive on a whim and going into Carbondale when you just want a quick bite can feel like a chore. For this reason alone, Don Luna is worth checking out.

From the time we ordered until we received food for five people, it was only seven minutes. We ordered chimichangas, tamales, Steak Cancun, as well as a couple of shakes. Everything was great but the quality and size of the tamales was a nice surprise. Soft, delicious, and individually wrapped up and 3 to an order; They are very filling! I'm a big guy and could only eat two!

Staff is friendly and the drive through makes ordering a breeze....

Really good! I was at first apprehensive to come here, having seen only one review posted, but I’m really glad I did come! I ordered two beef tacos, 1 soft shell, 1 hard shell. They were both good, with fresh ingredients. Tasted like true Mexican food to this patron! And it should, because the restaurant is run by true Mexican folk. I was really impressed. Fast, Friendly Service by folk willing to please the customer. Definitely a place to get your fast-food Mexican edibles even if it is out of your way. And that’s not all: The menu is extensive.
