A Perfect Valentine's Dinner
My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Famos for a romantic Valentine's dinner, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we stepped inside, we were enveloped by a warm and inviting ambiance that set the tone for a perfect evening.
Our server, Mariah, was an absolute delight. She was not only kind and attentive but also incredibly efficient, ensuring that our five-course meal flowed seamlessly. Her recommendations were spot on, and she made us feel truly special throughout the evening.
The meal itself was a culinary masterpiece. We started with the stuffed mushrooms, which were bursting with flavor. Next, the soup was rich and comforting, followed by a fresh and vibrant salad that whetted our appetites perfectly.
For the main course, we indulged in both the filet and the chicken Alfredo. The filet medallions were cooked to perfection, tender and juicy, while the chicken Alfredo was creamy and satisfying—a wonderful pairing that showcased the chef's skill.
To top it all off, we were treated to a dessert palette that was as beautiful as it was delicious. Each bite was a heavenly conclusion to a fantastic meal.
Overall, our evening at Famos was an unforgettable experience. The combination of excellent service, exquisite food, and a romantic atmosphere made for a perfect Valentine's celebration. We can't wait to return for another special occasion! Highly...
Read moreThe food here was awesome. We ordered meatballs as an appetizer and they were a little misleading they may have been homemade but didn’t taste homemade the sauce they were in and the chips they came with were very tasty though, was not a fan of the raw mozzarella on top though, felt like it could’ve been torched or broiled. I ordered the southern trio pasta and my wife ordered JT’s way. The pasta itself is amazing, I love the fact that they make their own pasta. My wife’s pasta was delicious and the Gorgonzola cream sauce was funky but if you love funky cheese you would really like this. My southern trio pasta was fantastic, super bold flavors, which is exactly what I would expect from a Cajun style pasta. We also had potato soup that came with our meal which was also delicious it seemed to have smoked chicken in it, which was a unique taste in a potato soup but I wouldn’t change it. Overall this place is a great dining experience, if you have never had Italian smokehouse food before I would definitely give this place a try, the prices are unbeatable for quality of food and the portions are huge, you will have leftovers. We definitely will...
Read moreOften enjoyed the experience and food at the Carterville location. It had been some time since I have visited and had the craving for their great pasta dishes again. I have to say their seating was much better than Carterville. The service was good although we were bounced around with the first waitress saying, "Even though I was supposed to go home, I will get your order started and then someone else will help you." That made me a little nervous, but there were no issues there. I ordered something that was on their online menu, but was not available on the menu they had listed. She told me they could still make it. Steak Au Poivre Tortellini was such a delicious dish the two times I had it before. What I got was nothing what I ordered before. The steak tasted more like a tough pork than beef. The sauce was very bland and had very little flavor. Not anything like I had before. The person with me had fish, which was very well cooked and tasted excellent. That is why I am not giving it 1 star for food. Very disappointed in the Tortellini tho. Too bad, I really...
