Mi Torito Carl Junction — Restaurant in Carl Junction

I went on 2 separate occasions and the first time I ordered the Chimichanga lunch plate. The lunch special price is cheap and for portions it is an amazing deal. Everything was fresh and I love scooping up my rice and beans with the chips! Hot sauce was not extremely hot but had a nice kick. Chimichanga was cooked well!

On the second visit I ordered the Kansas burrito. This is a monster sized burrito with Jalapenos and your choice of chicken, steak or ground beef. I went with the steak and it was well cooked. This burrito was a little more expensive but definitely worth it and the Jalapenos made the burrito very flavorful. I will probably order the Kansas burrito over the Chimichanga. Staff is friendly and very prompt.

Food was extremely bland, I'm nor sure how this place has such high reviews. I ordered the Steak Fajitas they had no flavor even with salting them. I took a few bites with no interest in finishing them was going to just pay and leave and grab something somewhere else. The manager came over and apologized and I felt compelled to order something else. I ordered the Chile Rellenos. In my experience, the most fool proof mexican dish. The menu claims they are stuffed with cheese but there is no cheese inside, only cheese sauce so the flavor and texture when covered in cheese sauce already is just weird it felt like they were stuffed with nothing but the manager said they stuff with cheese and cheese sauce (there is no cheese pull the cheese sauce just runs out when cut into. I could only eat one and it wasn't that good I won't be back even though the staff wasn't bad. She asked if I liked the Chile Rellenos and I just said they were fine because I just wanted to pay and leave and not have to reorder...

This is the best Mexican Restaurant in the 4 states area. And it's in Carl Junction Mo! It's not spicy at all unless you request it or the menu says so. But the flavors are delicious. There is plenty of food to fill you up and need a "to go" container! They also have a drive thru open after 5pm daily. I would recommend the Burrito Torito. You can get it with ground beef or shredded chicken, and comes with sour cream and lettuce, tomato and shredded cheese on top, and served with refried beans and rice!
