High Tide Lounge & Tiki Bar — Restaurant in Carolina Beach

Went down to CB (we are local) to visit some friends on Labor Day weekend & they suggested we all eat here. I wasn't expecting much, especially with it being a holiday weekend. All of our food came out fast, hot, & most importantly it was all fantastic! I'd eat at this restaurant if it were anywhere, the fact it's on the ocean is just a bonus. A young man named Louis took our order & despite the crowd on Labor Day weekend he explained everything & got everything right. The pulled pork, shrimp rolls, & mahi were all top notch. We walked to the tiki bar from our room. Seemed like a pretty good environment for my husband and I to have several beers. Prior to walking there, we did have a storm. But it was over! I had one beer and my husband had 2, then she told us she was closing in like 15 minutes because it was calling for another storm. So we paid and walked back to our room. We’re sitting on our deck and NO STORM and we can see they are serving people well after she told us they were closing. Very disappointed! We were going to order food as well, they closed...

I hate this place because it has so much potential and is completely ruined. I wish someone new would buy it. Best spot on the beach but dirty and unfriendly. Food is terrible and it is so cliquey. When you walk in there are like five angry people staring at you. Uncomfortable, dirty and unfriendly. Unfortunately it has the best spot for a bar on the beach.
