Its very sad to visit a restaurant in which the front desk speaks poorly of its own customers. We decided to visit this good looking restaurant from the pictures online. As we walked in, we were not greeted nor seated, so we proceded to walk towards an empty table. When we were sitting down, one of the employees walked over to us and rudely exclaimed we needed to wait until seated. No problem. We walk back to the entrance and wait to be seated, our honest mistake, so we sit on the correct table and the employee walks off. Ten minutes later, you can hear the employee from the kitchen yelling out to hear co-workers speaking poorly about us who were not greeted nor seated and proceded to call us inept and stupid. After this, to avoid conflict, we stood up and walked out.
As an owner of a brand who focuses on quality of service and creating experiences, it is very sad to visit a place on our beautiful island that treats its own locals this poorly. Do not recommend this cafe the slightest, and for those who are traveling to visit Puerto Rico, I suggest avoiding...
Read moreOne hour later, still waiting for my eggs and bacon. All I’ve had was oatmeal as an appetizer, and it was below average. The service is terrible. Took forever to take seated and then another 15 minutes for them to grab our order. They never offered us anything to drink or brought napkins. There are two employees assisting whoever walks in for to-go orders, but there’s no one assisting those who are seated. There are always people arriving for to-go orders, as if this was just a bakery or cafe and not a bistro. This doesn’t seem to work as a bistro, seeing as how the ladies at the cash register could only seat us and grab our orders when the line dies down. No one checks whether we need anything. I will never come here again, and I wouldn’t recommend the experience to anyone. Should’ve just gone...
Read moreOur experience at Al Fresco Bistro Cafe was mixed. The staff was exceptionally friendly, and we appreciated their early hours of operation, which were incredibly convenient for our schedule. However, our disappointment arose with the brunch platter we ordered. Each platter consisted of only one pancake and one scrambled egg with a slice of barely melted cheese on top, accompanied by a berry salad. Given the price, we had expected more generous portions. Despite this, the pancake itself boasted excellent flavor, leaving us curious about how a full stack would taste. Overall, while we enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and convenient hours, the limited portions of the brunch platter left us...
