The first time I came to HUGS I was a little kid. I remember it being a cool, tiny, fun looking little hut surrounded by snow and woods with enormous plates of pasta. I went recently as an adult and minus the plate sizes (everything seems much larger when you are a kid) the atmosphere was the same. The staff is super friendly and very hard working. They run a really great establishment. I had Linguini in vodka sauce with chicken and broccoli. I had a salad, a meatball and a cannot. The good overall was pretty good - although I thought the vodka sauce was a little watery and needed more flavor. The chicken was also kind of sparse and could've been a more generous portion. They were very busy and it's in a remote location so it's quite possible that they were trying to stretch ingredients. The meatball was out of this world. I would've liked a bit more bread for the gravy with the meatball because that gravy is really good. That was one of the best - if not THE BEST meatballs I have ever had. I was actually taken aback by how good it was. The cannoli was pretty good. The salad was really good also, crisp, fresh, delicious. All dishes seemed to be made with care. It's a small place and it was packed to the brim- I had to sit right by the door at the bar which was not an issue at all as I was able to get a more intimate look at their operations and staff interactions. They struck me as such kind, hardworking and professional people. Long story short- come here if you are in the area- but make a reservation. Get a shirt on the way out ;)

I am choosing words from amazing to scrumptious and totally unexpected to wow ! A last minute trip idea brought us past this spot at just the right time to stop. I'm still so happy at this choice ! Great atmosphere, exceptional staff, and the best food I've had in a long time. I've chosen to picture a small amount of the 2 appetizers we choose.(there should be prosciutto behind the peaches but it disappeared too fast) We tried 3 drinks . The one in the photo of the tables bread is a gepetto martini . Dinner was a Mediterranean pasta with goat cheese instead of feta as well as no mushrooms and pasta puttanesca (salmon added). Yes they do shred parmesan at your table . For dessert, which we took home, was a tiramisu. Homemade whipped cream was used when making this delicious finish. Great job !!!

I had the butternut squash filled Ravioli with a brown butter sauce. Oh..this was very good..they had a olive and goat cheese appetizer..I gave that a try..that also was great..I got a cannoli which I got to go..I was surprised by how fresh it was nice crisp cookie shell and a creamy filling..high 5s for this cozy lil place

We have been coming to the Loaf for over 20 years and Hug's is always one of our restaurants of choice. Last Saturday night, My husband, daughter, and her family enjoyed a wonderful meal. But, as good as the food was which was pretty much perfect our server Josh went above and beyond to make this an enjoyable evening. He was wonderful to the two children and was so patient with their ordering choices. My granddaughter had never had the vodka sauce and I knew she would love it, he gave her a spoonful to try. He was attentive but not overbearing. Showed up at the exact right times. This restaurant is a big part in making us feel like the Loaf is our...
