Honey Bee Bakery — Restaurant in Carroll Township

Really nice little bakery right past Ringold.

We actually got a bunch of items from them: Some donuts, strawberry cream horns, pretzel jello and some other pastries.

The donuts were pretty good! Maybe the dough could be a little more tender, but the filling on the Peanut Butter Cup donuts was really great. Tasted like peanut butter, much lighter, not crazy sweet. Really tasty.

The strawberry cream horns were amazing. Like a lady lock, but with fresh cream and strawberries and - again - it wasn't absurdly sweet. It's nice to get baked goods where there's a flavor OTHER than "sugar".

Finally the pretzel jello was also nice. Normally a dessert I only ever see at picnics, it's super convenient to be able to stop by and get a square to go rather than having to make a whole tray of it at home. My only criticism on it would be I'm wondering if they used unsalted butter for the pretzel crust, where I usually like the crust to be a bit more salty. Personal preferences, I guess.

I ordered a good number of trays for my wedding reception to do our cookie table and their cookies did not disappoint. They offer quite a nice variety and it was very easy to get in touch with them even after hours. The woman there helped me with the amount I would need also for the size of my reception as I had no clue and I also wanted to have leftovers. They were able to accommodate how I wanted them organized for pickup and it was seamless. They were nice enough to help carry my order out and gave me instructions on how to maintain their freshness as I picked them up two days in advance. We were worried about the heat with my reception being outdoors but even the refrigerated ones lasted great! Maybe just my luck. I would definitely recommend this bakery for your wedding reception needs and of course other occasions or just to grab something yummy and sweet to enjoy. What bakery uses restaurant take out foam containers for boxes, this is as tacky as it gets. I tried a few product and some are quit better than others, definitely the apricot/raspberry cookies are excellent, the donut batter, not so much I'd love to buy cookies to take to work but will no way do it in a foam take out container. The jelly sticks to the other cookies & I even told the staff person this, u would think at a minimum she would've placed the cookies flat in a separate box but uhh, no, she just looked at me like she missed the point of it all.
