Burger Bar and More (Burger Bar & Dari Maid) — Restaurant in Carrollton

Today I went to Burger Bar for lunch and Makayla took my order. She handed me my drink and I went out to wait for my food. The person I was with ordered their food after I did. His food was delivered in a timely manner, yet I still had not received mine. I asked the lady to check on it for me (considering it was a beef burger and Q fries) and nothing. The person I was with had finished all of his food and my order still had not been delivered. I then went up to ask for my money back. Makayla put the money back on my card and then asked me, "Would you like for me to see if they can make this up for you real quick?" YES! LIKE 20 MINUTES AGO. But, I declined and took my business to McDonald's instead. I would not be so upset about this, but this is the THIRD time in a row that I have been to Burger Bar and something like this has happened. The first time, I waited in the drive thru line for 1 hour and 20 minutes (yes, they were busy, but come on). Only to learn that the lady that took my order forgot to send it back to the kitchen. The second time, I was on a time crunch. Winter Sports Award Banquet was to start at 6 and I was going to grab dinner for my daughter and myself to eat beforehand. They were having a fundraiser that night, so I called at 5:15 and asked if I could place an order to go and the money still go toward the fundraiser. I was told it was for dine in only and the girl hung up the phone on me. I get there at 5:25 to place my order (I was then told you CAN place an online order) and WAITED until 6:03 to finally receive my order. You're busy, I get that. BUT COME ON!!! IT'S FAST FOOD... Needless to say I get to the school at 6:05 and my daughter just walked off the stage. Yes, I missed her getting her awards. I should have known better then, to not go back. It was nice to go to the Burger Bar this past Monday. I grew up in the Kansas City area but my mom's family was from the Carrollton area. I think about every trip that we took to Carrollton we stopped at the old building. I had not been there for years and was happy to see they built a new building and were still open. The ice cream was just as good as I remembered. The cones of gotten a little bit smaller over the years but that was expected. When we were kids they put so much ice cream on a cone that it was hard to eat it all before it melted. Sometimes seeing a place like the Burger Bar- Dairy Maid open after all these years brings a smile...

I have been a patron of Burger Bar all my life. My father would take us here for a special treat of ice cream and a Beef Burger with special mashed potato fries. Now, sadly, the mashed potato fries have been lost to time. But, the Beef Burger 🍔 remains as a tasty treat from the past and now in 'Bubba' size. The malted ice cream 🍦 is also still available and as delicious as when I was young. Although i have moved away from my old hometown, I make this place a priority stop-off when I visit.
