Maydro's Seafood Kitchen — Restaurant in Carthage

being from the area, but moved away, I was excited to know this place served seafood.. and for $26 you too can have, what I would describe as, The Worst Buffet I e ever had, and very lackluster service. There wasn't a single item on that line that was decent except maybe the fries. The catfish was WAAAY over salted, the fried shrimp was greesier than church's chicken, the shrimp tasted like they were marinated in water only, the tenders were drier than Scottsdale Arizona, and what awful marinade was the steak in? And the one fried oyster i had turned my stomach. It was soured. Like it had been thawed, frozen, and thawed again.That was awful. The sweet tea was good. Just wish I could have gotten some more. Our "Server "wasn't very attentive. I just can't believe how terrible the food is and the cost of it. I'm not a fan of Golden Corral, bit that's a better option than maydros. If myb only options are here, or drive to flowood to get something, I'm trucking it to flood.

Sat down and waited over 10 minutes for a waitress. Once she finished checking with every other customer in the room we decided to go fix a plate at buffet. Completely finished our meal without the waitress ever once even stopping to talk to us although she made several trips in our room and literally checked on every customer but us... then when asking for the price of the drinks to be taken off the total on the bill since we didn't even receive them we got a crazy look and a $5 discount. With that being said we got 1 plate of food for $56 with no apologies or any effort to make up for the mistake.. thats the cons.. the pros are the one plate me and my wife shared the food was absolutely amazing 👏 I definitely would recommend this place if the service was atleast a nudge above horrendous. Over priced, Small selection for a buffet, food is either bland or burnt. They can't even make Mac and cheese right, it's like a soup pretty much. The service is terrible, they only fill your drinks every 30 minutes even if they see its empty or you ask them. if you plan on eating here then you might wanna bring you a pillow so you can nap in the car while you wait to be seated. Soft spots all through the floor. The central air conditioning apparently doesn't work so they have a window unit that is loud and blows directly onto you while your trying to eat, so your either...
