The Good Bird — Restaurant in Carver

I heard great things about this place decided to check it out. If the rating was just about my experience it would be a 5.0 but hear me out.. my kids love chicken tenders but they do not like anything spicy! I got 2 large orders of tenders and fries for them to pig out and ordered them plain. Drove almost 45 mins there and back and my kids did not like them at all. They were too spicy. So if you have kiddos sensitive to spice or even yourself I’d at least reconsider the tenders as that’s all we got today. Needless to say there was a bit of kick to them for just being plain tenders I obviously tried them myself and could understand completely why my kids had that opinion of them. I however loved them! Crispy and great quality chicken on the inside I would go back again for myself well worth the drive as I live next to many restaurants in Plymouth and I would chose here for tenders they were that good but I love spicy. I got one of every sauce . Sauces all taste in house and each have their uniqueness about them i enjoyed them all! Honestly if I didn’t enjoy them so much myself I would of been mad about the trip and having to make my kids something which i was obviously trying to avoid doing haha Ill deff be back to try out some more stuff! But maybe put a disclaimer if thats a consistent seasoning blend on all the battered food items they sell as I could definitely see it being a problem for some people...

This place was amazing, to start the vibe really fits the locale small business asthetic that comes with a town like carver. The food itself was impeccable flavors really shine through in their dishes and all of the food we got was excellent. We ordered the following:

Smash burger - 9/10 (flavor was great, bun was grilled and nice and crispy but still soft, only reason I give it a 9 is because I prefer a different burger texture but overall it was great)

Fried chicken Ceasar sandwich - 10/10 looked and tasted great exactly what you'd expect out of a highly rated sit down restraunt without the waiting at a table for 45 mins

Jerk chicken tacos- 10/10 bursting with flavor and spice absolute treat for the senses

Buffalo rangoons- 9.5/10 rangoon flavor was good simple but satisfying especially with the ranch I only give 9.5 because I wish there was a little more filling but satisfactory overall

Street corn fritters-11/10 if you like southwest egg rolls these have a similar taste without being super heavy. They were crispy but fluffy/soft inside and packed a bunch of flavor!!

Even their sides were good french fries were steak fries style but again FLAVOR AND CRISP WAS AMAZING! The pasta salad was good while not being overbearing or dull as well

If you read this far go try it it's worth it!! And get a couple extra things too you won't be let down! Keep killing it in the kitchen guys i look forward to visiting...

Paid 17 dollars for a chicken sandwich that barely had enough chicken on there to cover half the sandwich and got served with stale fries. What a rip off.

Response: You should have some quality control when you serve your food! Most people don’t eat their food in the parking lot! So now I have to get back in my car and drive all the way back to get new food because no one bothered to make the food properly the first time! I understand I could have called for a refund but then I still am left with no food! So either way it didn’t help me! For $17 for a chicken sandwich there shouldn’t be those issues to begin with!
