Culver’s — Restaurant in Cascade Charter Township

I placed an online carryout order expecting a quick and smooth pickup. However, my experience at this location was anything but. When I arrived, the restaurant was packed, and I noticed another customer being apologized to after apparently being yelled at for grabbing her own order. Despite witnessing that, I saw my own order sitting on the to-go rack—exactly where online carryout orders should be. Since I had already paid, I grabbed my bag and drink, only to be loudly called after by a staff member with short gray hair. I held up my order and let her know I was taking what I had already paid for because I had to get back to work. When I got to my car, I realized my order was incomplete—no straw, no napkins, no cheese sauce that I specifically ordered, and my burger was cold. This isn’t the first time I’ve encountered poor service and disorganization at this location, and unfortunately, today confirmed that I won’t be returning. Given the lack of customer service, the missing items, and the quality of the food, I believe a refund would be appropriate. Haven't gone here in years because under the old service design, you order at the counter and wait for them to bring the food to the table. The two times i was there, the food got to the table luke warm, not hot, which is a deal breaker for me. Especially with fries. Got on the line outside to get takeout. Ordered the standard double cheese burger and fries at the drive up window. Pretty simple. I assumed the burger came the way its pictured (as in all burger places) with lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, ketchup. But the guy asked what i wanted on the burger? So i said everything, and proceeded to the check out window, and then waited for the food to be walked out to my car. Cheeseburger and fries came out pretty hot thank God but with only pickles, onions, and ketchup. No lettuce or tomato. If i have to tell the kitchen what EVERYTHING means especially with the item pictured with lettuce and tomato on the wall, I'm not going back. And honestly it's not just this place, it seems every food outlet has gotten worse since the pandemic. It's like everyone forgot how to prepare their product. And now, more epensive...

Being from the Bay Area, I was looking for something with a Midwestern flavor. I went here on a recommendation from a fellow business acquaintance while on travel. The person said this place has a Midwest flavor as the chain was started by some people originally in the Wisconsin-Illinois area.

I had the grilled chicken and when I first bit into it, it reminded me of a delicious grilled fish sandwich. I had to do a double-take, which is to say I enjoyed the sandwich because I love fish and I thought there breading they used was aromatic.

I also noticed the servers are quite friendly and go out it their way to help customers. I was standing there, waiting for my order for several minutes. A server was walking around with an order, looking for the number when another employee working on the custard machine motioned her to my direction, asking if maybe it was for me. It wasn't but I sure do appreciate the effort...
