I want to start by saying that I really enjoy the smoothies at Blue Ridge! Definitely one of the healthier smoothie options in town, and they always taste really yummy. They always have really kind baristas too! The service itself is definitely on the slow side. The times where I have gone through the drive thru on my lunch, it has taken almost my whole lunch, and a few times, it’s made me almost late to work. It just is what it is. As far as food goes, I’ve had some items that I really enjoyed, but other items that were not very good. I ordered the pasta salad today after being told that it contained veggies and noodles in Italian dressing (I was double checking that there wasn’t pork in it), so I was kind of expecting your typical pasta salad with things like broccoli, tomatoes, carrots, etc. Unfortunately, It was all noodles with 1 small tomato chunk and 2 small onion chunks. I took a picture the second that I noticed any veggies because I had eaten only noodles for over half the container. It’s just a little weird and inconsistent as far as what you can expect from their food menu, and a little bit on the expensive side for a coffee shop - I’m fine with paying for more expensive food, but I would like to properly get what is advertised to me. It’s still a place I would re-visit! It’s just worth being skeptical of the menu and you can’t...
Read moreBEWARE. I went to Blue Ridge today, when I got there there were two cars ahead of me in line. By the time I got my drinks I literally waited about 30 minutes. I ordered two peanut butter mochas that have always come with chocolate drizzle in the two plus years I've been going there, and neither of them had it. When I asked why they were not made the normal way, I was rudely told this was optional. The drink is peanut butter, chocolate, and espresso but apparently 1/3 of it is optional. At this point I had to get going with my day and didn't have another 30 minutes for them to make my drink correctly, but when I went to drink it it had no espresso in it!!!! I ordered both with EXTRA espresso and only one had any in it, and it barely tasted like it had one shot much less two. The other literally had no espresso/coffee in it! So beware potential consumers, if you go here they do not care if they provide you with what you purchase. Make sure you specify all of the ingredients you want in your coffee, and reiterate that you do want coffee in it or they might just decide...
Read moreOk coffee, ok food, really high prices, poor customer service. Some baristas are friendly and attentive sometimes, others typically act like they're bored and annoyed that you're even there. Almost all of them move at a snail’s pace. When we stepped up in line to order at the register today the girl just stood there staring at us for about 10 seconds before she managed a basic “Hi.” I looked over later and she literally had her face in her hand leaning on the counter looking bored while another customer was ordering.
Also hard to believe that two sandwiches and two drinks ended up being over $30. Big yikes! Especially considering that my girlfriend’s salad had a hair in it! 🤮 They did give her another one to go at least but still…
For how much Blue Ridge charges they certainly don’t produce the atmosphere, customer service, or quality of product to come even close to justifying it. Do yourself a favor and go to literally any one of the other coffee shops in town. You’ll save yourself money and frustration and you’ll be...
