In town for a long weekend. Decided to stop in for what is usually fast service and good food at other DQ chains. It was not fast at all. Sadly, they seemed to be understaffed. The single employee working the front looked stressed and she had to juggle taking orders, bagging the food, attending the drive through, and dealing with snide people. The 3 stars is not for her, she was doing all she could do to keep up with what is likely a tough job. The person who I assume was the cook in the back wasn’t wearing any kind of PPE such as gloves or even a hairnet. His indifferent attitude was also deplorable as he never came from the back to help the only other employee in the store; he stood there, doing little more than his sole task. Not that I’d want him prepping my food and the only reason I didn’t order something warm was because of him. The 3 stars are partly for him. Poor management is my main beef here. This could have been prevented had management been more proactive about staffing their DQ on a warm Saturday afternoon. Read moreThis is one of the worst DQ's I bhave ever been too, one three separate occasions we have orderd a frozen hot chocolate and the first time they said they had the cocoa fudge for it but when we got the drink it was maid with hot fudge( I know this because I ran two DQ's for ten years) so I aksed them if they used hot fudge and they said yes because they were out of cocoa fudge. So insted of letting us know they didn't have the right ingredient they rang it up anyway, on an other occasions when we got to the window the lady handed us our food with chocolate all over her hands and that would have never happened in the stores I ran. This last time being today we ordered some hot food and that was ok but no one in that store has any costumer sirves skills at all. You fo not take orders but saying order now then the amount then pull forward. They shouls be saying welcome to dq what can I get for you, then that will be $$ at the window. Read moreEach car in the drive-thru line waited 10 or MORE minutes before being acknowledged. Usually an acknowledgement is instantaneous, even if they are busy and have to wait to place your order. I sat there in silence for about 10 minutes before anyone spoke. And that was with EVERY VEHICLE, not just me. They must be short-staffed, but isn't it typical for someone to acknowldge with "please, hold"? The grounds (parkinglot and grass areas) are excessively overgrown, giving this building (and block) an abandoned feel, and the shattered glass on the front door adds to that deserted look. This has been the worst and strangest experience I've had. Very slow, long wait time, 10 minutes of silence before being able to order thru the drive-through and another 10 minute wait before getting to the payment window. I would not recommend. Bad customer service and it certainly isn't "fast food." I hope my icecream isn't melted...
