La China — Restaurant in Cataño

Like many Puertorican-Chinese food the fried rice tastes slightly different from Chinese food in the US and there is a bit of fusion in the menu. For example, combination platters come with fried rice AND French fries or tostones!

We had the 3-piece fried chicken with French fries and the chicken broccoli combination platter with tostones instead of fries. You could probably feed 4 or more people with just these two entres!

The fried chicken was deliciously crispy though the chicken itself was understalted. The French fries were just OK.

The chicken broccoli combination was delicious, the tostones were beautifully garlicky and the chicken amazingly tender.

This is one of my favorite places to order Chinese cuisine! The portion of carbs and meat is phenomenal. It tastes amazing! They have great customer service, something that is quite rare in Puerto Rico. I am a recurring customer and have been for about a year.
