We enjoy the Farm Stand alfresco dining all summer . We were eager to try the newly expanded Orchard farm table restaurant.
It is an extremely large space compared to the original set up. It seems like they will be well prepared to handle large crowds in the summer. There are two separate bar areas and two separate dining areas….. one offers a quieter atmosphere. The other one offers more of a pub atmosphere with live music. The pub side of the restaurant was busy considering it was a Wednesday evening. But it was half off wine bottle Wednesday, so maybe that’s why it was so busy in the pub. The seats at the bar were all full when we arrived at 6, maybe enjoying happy hour specials.
Service was great, very attentive. New interior design is very cool just like the rest of the complex.
The food, however, was a bit of a disappointment. The presentation on the plate was creative and a little above par but the quality of the food itself was meh, nothing extraordinary. The potatoes that came with my entrée were actually cold on the plate, but our server was attentive once I told her and brought us more. Just didn’t taste very fresh.
I also had the crabcake appetizer as my appetizer and it was a good size. Suitable to order for dinner and might be suitable for that, given the price of $24 for a one crabcake appetizer.
My husband had the salmon for his dinner entrée, and it looked small compared to what you typically get in other restaurants of this caliber.
The bread they served was delicious and very fresh tasting.
I was surprised with such an extensive menu that they were not on trend with offering some creative Mocktail options printed on their menu.
Not sure we will go back but they will do well as it seems there is little competition for upscale dining in the area besides the winery up the road.
