Just arrived in town an hour earlier from a 2 day drive from Maine and other restaurants were booked w/ long waits, when my step-mom remembered the 1812! A lifetime ago, I waited tables for a decade in a popular restaurant, and when I saw the scene, I was skeptical! Despite a busy night (Sweetest Day), the owner, Kevin, was able to accommodate our walk in party of 3. He and his staff were calm and professional despite the dinner rush. All of the food was delicious!! French onion soup, lolly-pop lamb chops, bread, salads, lobster tails, perch and steak and filet. Delicious 1812 potatoes and veg of the day- everything perfectly cooked! Vodka martinis w/ blue cheese Olives (recommended by our awesome waitress) andSoCo Manhattan were perfect. The Creme Brûlée for dessert was the cherry on top. Thank you 1812 for topping off a long 2 day drive home from Maine! We look forward to future visits:-)
