Shane's Restaurant — Restaurant in Caulksville

This is an excellent restaurant to have breakfast, lunch or dinner. Its very quaint. Has a pond partially round it where ducks and geese swim. Has a white gazbo northside of parking lot. My sister and i stopped here Saturday for lunch. I had the openfaced roast beef sandwich, with mashed potatoes with brown gravy. California blend of veggies. My sister had a large grilled chicken salad. My plate lunch was awesome. The beef was very tender & the mashed potatoes was very delicious. So if you are traveling highway 23 south. Stop in and enjoy the food. Cash or checks welcome. Thy dnt have a debit or credit machine. The ladies are very nice. They keep checking if u need anything. I give this restaurant 5 stars....

I placed a to go order for some food. I was a dollar short and some change and the waitress was so kind enough to help me pay for the rest. Her name is JJ i believe and she is amazing. Kind and sweet hearted. The place was nice and well kept. I have been there numerous times before and never had anything bad to say about the food atmosphere or cleanliness of the restaurant. For some reason tonight my burger i ordered was over cooked. The bun itself was almost black from being grilled or toasted to long and my hamburger was crunchy and thats not a normal burger. We had a group of 4. Seating was no problem whatsoever. We went about 4pm and they're were a few people but not a crowd my. The staff were excellent, responsive to our request, friendly beyond belief. I ordered grilled chicken with baked potato. The food was much, much better than I expected. First time I've been here. I was visiting my brother, who lives about 8 miles away. He loves this place. I'll make it a point to return whenever I get back...
