This place is really awesome as far as atmosphere goes. My family consists of 2 adults and 3 small children. Our bill was just under $50 which we thought was a bit pricey especially for the food we received. My husband and I got the special “shrimp po boys” which were basically lettuce tomato and bread. Not very good. The Greek slaw was ok but the grilled corn was delicious! We got burger sliders for our 2 littlest ones and they looked like miniature hockey pucks, our kids refused to eat them. Our oldest got the bbq nachos and devoured them!! They were quite good, even with the canned cheese sauce. The atmosphere was great and the boys had a really good time running around and playing the games by the lake. The view and service were outstanding but there is a separate bar area to buy alcohol so you have to go find a table and then hit the bar for adult beverages ( not that big of a deal but sort of a pain) We will definitely be going back, but we vowed not to try anymore of their sandwiches lol. Hopefully their tacos will be more...

All the staff were superior. Jake's is probably a fun place. They have corn hole and a giant connect four and tether ball. Maybe more. It is right on the water which is really nice. They have live music on Saturday night. The food. Well. Mediocre. My husband had a rather small burger. He said it tasted good but was a store bought frozen patty on a totally average roll. Dude, at least do toasted brioche. Mine was a marinated chicken sandwich. They said the sandwich would be served on plain white bread. Are you kidding me? I opted for no bread. The taste of the marinade was very good but the meat was SO overcooked. Dry, dry, dry. We opted for the Greek slaw. It was good. Vinegar based with feta. Nice. Everything is al a carte. Every side, every drink. Everything. They do have a bar but we did get anything from the bar so I don't know how extensive it is. Go for the fun and the water,...

Super place. Sorry I never went there until yesterday. Love Black Sedan and went there to hear them but surprised how good Jake’s was. Menu is great - simple, inexpensive, good variety, nachos were super and two size option, sliders simple but good and cheap, taco delicious. Bar drinks were great - Bloody Mary was better than a lot of high priced bars and celery, okra, olives made it special. Will be back many times next year, easy drive from Jacksonville, Al. Plenty of seats. Might mention the pontoon boat stage and the modified container for a bar was a good idea someone (Jake?) had. Restroom could be better but overall a great place and I know the boaters enjoyed being able to tie up right there. And watching the crowd and...

Very nice & friendly staff, with an amazing setting right next to the lake. All open air covered eating area, with picnic tables spread out around the main part, and chairs to sit & relax in. They have an old pontoon boat as their stage for when they are having live music. They have docks you can pull your boat up to, to stop an eat while on the lake. The food was great, very tasty, of good portion size, and not too badly priced as well. Good little date night place.

Beautiful location, friendly folks, good food. The 14 of us met there on a beautiful day and greatly enjoyed an informal family reunion, fueled by mahi BLTs and burgers and pie. The food was a little overcooked and the outhouse was more like a bathroom at a ballpark than at a restaurant, but the atmosphere and view more than compensated. We'd definitely go back--and I'll bet the place is absolutely jumping in the evenings and with live music. Try the pie!

Great place on the Lake to hangout and have food and drinks.. staff is extremely friendly and helpful. It's a totally outside by the Lake Wiess! You can come by land or boat!! About time for our little section of AL to hit the target... There should be a lot more places like this on our giant lake!!! They are open Memorial day weekend through Labor day weekend... I can't wait until next year!!!
