Ugly Mugs Cedar Grove — Restaurant in Cedar Grove

We live close and have been going there since it opened. It was “ok,” but the last two experiences were horrible!! The second to last time, we arrived 15 minutes before closing and ordered a drink and were informed that they couldn’t make it because their espresso machines were already cleaned. So i asked if we could have iced coffee. They obliged. There was a teenager boy and an elderly lady working that were obviously new, so we were incredibly patient. When they went to ring it up though they had no idea how to. I made a suggestion off of their board and instead they had to call someone to come in. We waited 15 minutes for that person to get there (and they rang up exactly the way I had recommended). We left and let it go. The next time, I took my little sister there when she was in town. Just the elderly lady was there. We ordered two iced chai’s and an iced coffee with caramel. Basic drinks. We waited a half an hour and she brought them out. She had blended the chai’s (by request) one was hot and frothy in an iced cup, one was watered down and warm with very little syrup and the coffee tasted very old and had no syrup. So I went up and explained the problems. She added ice to the hot chai. By this time, a lady making cookies came and she re-made the coffee drink(still bad). And they poured just chai in a cup with ice for the third drink (no milk). Then we waited to be rang up by the elderly lady about 15 mins. The lady making cookies was there, but never took over. At one point we mentioned that we really needed to get going to pick up our kids and the old lady snapped at us that we needed to be patient. So they finally charged us 12 dollars. Altogether we were there an hour. We literally threw our drinks out on the way out and will never go there again! I have tried calling twice to talk to the manager/owner, but they have not...

We went there shortly after it opened and were highly disappointed by the latte that was just milk and the mediocr coffee. We gave it a year and tried again, just for some floats. The poor boy behind the counter didn’t know what the sodas were that we asked for even tho they were on the menu. They were Jolly Good names…. So we thought. Didn’t matter, they were out of half the selections so we settled for just simple root beer floats. Photo attached of the delicious sink water we were given with warm GREAT VALUE sodas. For OVER $5.00 each. $10+ for Walmart brand root beer and slimy soft serve. They’re a joke. Don’t waste your money. Fool us once, we will give it another shot. Fool us twice? We’re done. It’s actually laughable. I wish I could give minus stars for the lack of training too. We would have went back and complained but the kid was all alone with a cranky old lady and felt he was dealing...

Matcha iced tea is so watery, so bland , ice mocha is way too sweet, cinnamon powder mini donuts was freezing cold, the dough was so hard, worst donuts ever . We went back and showed the girls how hard the dough was , and I asked if she could replace with new ones , she replaced with two regular big cinnamon donuts instead of the minis one as they ran out, I thought the bigger ones would be better but they are the same, it must be old donuts from the previous day, they must kept in the fridge and resell it the next day, cold and hard as rock, I also asked her to remake my mocha as it was way too sweet , I asked for only a little bit of sweet, it turned out the same …Will not recommend and will not order again from this place .Price are high and...
