Morning Sunshine Cafe — Restaurant in Cedar Park

Not a lot of places offer your choice of protein with eggs and cheese on a biscuit. Most times places limit the choices to a breakfast sausage patty or bacon, and stick it on a bagel. Morning Sunshine gives you more options, including their delicious ham - great quality meat, not too thin like shaved lunch meat and not too thick like a ham steak. The eggs are cooked nicely, not too crispy around the edges. The cheese is American, not cheddar, which I personally prefer on an item like this. The biscuit is buttery and soft - not a dry crumbly mess.

The donuts are also tasty - my donut holes tasted fresh and had a good sugar glaze on them that didn’t have the artificial quality that Krispy Kreme has made their unfortunate trademark. In this case, simple is better, and Morning Sunshine smartly chose that.

The espresso drinks are also great quality. They have a good strong flavor, not watered down so that it tastes little better than weak drip. I recommend the latte, as they offer a choice of flavors and a great selection of dairy and nondairy milk. The only thing I would add to the flavor list is a little more variety, as the choices are only limited to Vanilla, Mocha, Caramel, Hazelnut, and Peppermint. Pumpkin Spice, Almond, and White Chocolate would be great additions, particularly in the fall, but both the caramel and hazelnut have proved to be delicious.

Story time: My mother was supposed to come visit my sister and I in Colorado for her birthday weekend, but the morning of her flight she tested positive for COVID-19 and had to stay home. To make her birthday morning alone a littler happier, we decided to surprise her by having breakfast delivered. We came across Morning Sunshine Cafe, ordered a few items, and included a note that it was her birthday in case they’d like to include a message for her. We expected them to maybe write happy birthday on the bag. Instead they included a birthday spread of donuts in a beautifully decorated box in addition to what we ordered. I apparently have been living under a rock. My parents are visiting from out of town and stumbled across this place, they brought over breakfast and I've now eaten there 3 days in a row! It's so delicious, everything is fresh, the owners were incredibly kind and nice and just give off a very happy vibe. First two times I ate their food it was delivered to me, today I decided to stop in and check it out in person and it is a very clean and cute donut shop! I noticed they had woek space there as well!
