This Mexican restaurant is in a fantastic location, and the experience was truly delightful. After hiking all morning at Honey Creek Park we were hungry! The highlight of our visit was the delicious and fresh food that exceeded our expectations. The menu offered a variety of flavorful dishes that satisfied our cravings for authentic Mexican cuisine.

The outdoor area was particularly impressive, providing a lovely setting for dining with our furry friend. We were thrilled to discover that the restaurant was dog-friendly, and the staff went the extra mile by providing a treat and a water bowl for our dog. This thoughtful gesture enhanced our dining experience and made us feel welcome.

I stopped at Mexican Affair while I was near Rathbun Lake, and it totally exceeded expectations. It’s got this casual, friendly setup—covered outdoor seating, relaxed crowd, and just a good overall vibe. You don’t feel rushed, and the people running it are super welcoming.

I went with the chicken burrito plate and added some Rathbun nachos on the side—everything was packed with flavor, cooked fresh, and hit that perfect balance of spice and texture. They even threw in some chips and salsa, which honestly were better than most sit-down restaurants I’ve been to.

One thing I really liked—they’ve got a solid variety: bowls, street tacos, seafood plates, and more. And if you’re staying out by Honey Creek or out on the water, they deliver right to the lake. That’s just awesome.

Fast, friendly, authentic street tacos were delicious, shrimp tacos, nachos yummy.. It's a outside dining area. Very unique. You can sit in the sheltered dining area or sit outside under a tree kind of like a picnic. Prices were decent in today's world they're not over priced. I have only been there twice but I will definitely be coming back in the spring season. I loved the location.
