A friend recommended stopping by on my way home to Dallas from Houston, Tx. When it comes to BBQ he doesn’t miss, so the family decided to make a quick detour and the best way to describe it was “A Texan dying and going to heaven”. The atmosphere is amazing and the BBQ is even better. My kids are young and intrigued by BBQ. My daughter LOVED the turkey and any my son (7) had to try anything with a jalapeño. I highly recommend the Turkey Leg and the Quail Wrapped in Bacon. The beans are mediocre though, which was a surprise to me. But the BBQ was reasonably priced for areas in Dallas and they aren’t half as good. Will definitely stop by for other pickled items and BBQ in the future. The fudge was also really good.

SUM: 10/10 recommend. Welcome sight, warm welcome, and good food for sore eyes and hungry belly after a long day of fast but skinny Texas driving. Sliced beef sandwich was really good! Daddy's BBQ is better but that could just be the Yankee in me talking. I was talked into a cinnamon roll (which btw is about the size of an 8 inch pie), and THAT I can say was the best I've ever had. Customer service was A+++. The men's room needed a little attention so I did let them know. Stopped for a 10 hour break, parking is free if you stay with your truck, $10 if you leave your truck. Not as much parking as a Pilot, but more than you'd expect to see from a small Texas town after running farm and state roads for 12 hours.

Cold brisket, I mean cold…no flavor, let the manager know, she asked me to warm it up! Wow, hot foods are supposed to be kept hot for health reasons, warmed up food looses flavor even further. At $20.00 a pound it an average price for smoked brisket in central Texas but the quality of the meat was subpar when compares to other places in the area. I am a truck driver and have stopped at many smoke houses in Texas and woody’s south bound is at the bottom out of 30 plus places where I have tried smoked briskets. Place has clean bathrooms chairs leave much to be desired. If coming south about 20 miles south of Hutchins at a Love’s truck stop you will find a top notch place to eat good brisket.

I am a longtime customer of Woody's since around 1980.... They are always a pitstop for us when we tra el north or south on I-45...I continue to exclusively use the southbound Woody's out of habit as it is the original Woody's and think they have a broader selection of goods to choose from....The insides( both locations) are always clean as are the restrooms even with the amount of use they receive....The staff has always been friendly and courteous. We normally buy a takeout lunch/dinner, beverage each visit.....The BBQ sandwiches are always good- chopped or sliced brisket and they come with a side of beans which are very tasty as well.... They also have other sides such a cole slaw, potato salad which can be purchased. They also have a sandwich bar where they will make you a custom made sandwich if you're not in the mood for bbq.....They have an array of beverages to chose from. Hundreds of different snacks to choose from. My favorite place is the meat counter....There are a multitude of meat products to try. My favorite hands down is the jerky.....I have been buying their jerky since around 1980 and never been dissappointed.....They will let you sample any of the jerky's they have before you buy any....They have several flavors of beef jerky, they have Venison, Elk, Buffalo, Turkey to choose from....All are really good !!!!!!! I have tried Buccee's jerky but definitely will only buy Woody's jerky....You might think the price is high but as they explained to me, it takes 1-2 lbs of meat to make a pound of jerky..... It is well worth it and will also store well in your freezer.....Overall, Woody's is a Great place to make a pitstop and is conveniently located halfway between Houston and Dallas on either side of I-45 in Centerville.....There is something for anyone and everyone at...

I saw signs for this place coming out of Houston. I figured I'd stop just can't turn down Texas BBQ. Pulled into the northbound side little tight for a semi truck, but manageable if you're a good driver. Left there came to the southbound side plenty of ample parking space, and it looks very spacious. Thank you for that.

At first, I wasn't going to get any food, but after laying here in the sleeper and being able to smell the meat being cooked, i just knew I had to go in and buy some.

Now, usually, I like that Best Texas BBQ place mostly because of the truck parking. I thought that place was good. I was wrong about that.

This place is now my #1 bbq place that I will be stopping at whenever I'm down in this area. Got a rib and beef sandwich toasted up to perfection, 3 of those bacon wrapped quail and some boudian balls.

Now, as far as the little nick knacks in the store, Buccees has nothing on this place. Very good prices got way more bang for my buck. Again, thank you for that.

I will make sure to stop in here every chance I get and tell others what a great experience I had. The people working here seemed very happy to just strike up a conversation with you, which is hard to find. It was clean and very welcoming like you would call this place a second home which is rare now days.

Last thing I was born and raised in Hawaii the food there is delicious. I have never in all my years of living up come across a place that the food is equal to the food from back home. That...

I came in town for a meeting and was early so I had enough time for a quick bite before it started. I saw the sign that said there was a meat market in the convenience store where I was getting gas. Well that was an understatement! Yes it was there and is an awesome one to say the least. However, I walked in to the most amazing store. Gifts, fresh foods, specialty food gifts, amazing meat market with a butcher for special cuts right in front of you. There was a even cafe style restaurant and a place to order specialty sandwiches, bar-b-que sandwiches and more. Then I walked into the buffet line and got a couple bacon wrapped quail, boudin balls, a link of jalapeno cheese sausage that came with a side of free pinto beans that day, along with a side order bar area of pickles, peppers, onions, jalapenos, banana peppers and pepperoncini's with your choice of breads and bar-b-que sauces to boot. My mouth started watering while I was standing in line just looking at the food. The only problem is that we live 175 miles away in Marble Falls and now I have to drive 3 hours to go eat there. AND DRIVE 3 HOURS I WILL!! AND THE SOONER THE BETTER!!! Great job guys. Great customer service and the best experience I've ever had at what I thought was a large gas station with a convenience store. What a wonderful surprise. I was late to the meeting...
