Stepping into Whiskey River brought forth a delightful surprise, with the ambiance, enveloping me in a vibe that was welcoming and a comfortable place to be. Not to mention it was 100 degrees outside but comfortable inside, with the beer as cold as can be.
The food proved to be a revelation. Having experienced the local Noho's scene, Whiskey River's dishes not only held their own but often surpassed expectations. The meticulous care they put into their preparations, such as the thoughtful touch of pre-cut chicken, added an extra layer of appreciation, with the same grilled taste, and AWESOME mac salad.
Seated at the bar, I encountered a bartender donning a misfit shirt. Though I didn't catch her name, her warm and attentive service left an indelible mark. She guided me through their drink and food selection, infusing a personal element into the experience that's genuinely memorable.
The seamless and SURPRISING fusion of culinary mastery, distinctive beverages, and the enigmatic bartender culminated in a truly memorable outing. This place is a gem, and perhaps still undiscovered but deserves more recognition! It's almost as if each detail was orchestrated to ensure an exceptionally gratifying visit. I also had a nice chat with one of the cooks.
I wholeheartedly recommend Whiskey River to those in pursuit of good flavors, captivating drinks, and authentic hospitality. It's more than an establishment; it's an invitation to savor a meticulously crafted experience, and to the lady in the misfit shirt, your contribution is greatly...
Read moreI only gave a star just to give a review....N NEVER WILL MY FAMILY N I BE COMING BACK TO THIS POS! 1st, the white haired older bar tender was rude! You can tell she either hates her job or just her life in general. 2nd, when outside to cool off, a fight broke out n someone yelled he has a gun, n when my sis n I ran inside to get safe, another staff member pushed us back out n pretty told us they didn't care if we got shot. 3rd, OUR CAR N 3 OTHERS GOT THEIR WINDOWS SMASHED IN N PURSES TOOK!!! When we told the staff what happened, n I quote "that's not our problem " n only offered to let us use the phone. Yes the mistake was made by leaving a purse in the car, but the ass hat that broke in didn't have a brain cuzin none of the purses had a wallet, hence we were at a bar but that's no reason for the staff to be complete scumbags!!! On top of that, it was our first time there n it was 2 of ours birthday. I would never ever be going back to...
Read moreI came here for a breakfast on my way up north. I'm not from Oregon but I wanted to check out a local cafe. When I walked in the waitress looked as if perhaps I was lost. I was asked how can she help me, obviously I came in for a bite to eat. Eventually she took my order. Two other parties came in after me, both of which were parties of two and I was dinning alone. Both parties seemed to be locals as they knew others in the cafe. I was extremely surprised to see they had been paying for their meal and heading out the door as my meal was arriving to my table. I'm not sure what the issue was here but I definitely did not feel welcome as a new visitor in town. I was super sad to have this experience in Southern Oregon, I think next time I'll stick to my big chain restaurants in the area. Bend was absolutely amazing tho, totally recommend their small town Cafe's and restaurants! 💕 Thanks for the experience Whiskey River, and...
