If you're looking for a red velvet cake that's homemade, fresh, moist and dosen't taste like a chocolate box cake with red food coloring, look no further! I got this cake for my sister's 40th birthday celebration. Everyone enjoyed it and asked where it came from. Thank you Sugar Me Sweet for helping me to get the ideas from my head and onto the cake. You were patient while I explained how I wanted the cake to look and gave much needed tips. As a result, the cake exceeded my expectations so much that I didn't want to cut the cake. It was absolutely beautiful! That was short lived though because the whole 9 inch cake was gone by the end of the dinner. 😄 Traveling from Baton Rouge, this bakery is a little out of my way in Central but so worth the drive. This place is truly a hidden gem. I really mean it, if you didn't live close you need GPS to find the place, definitely off the main street. Now about the "gem" part, the chocolate chip cookies are incredible. Also the creme brulee was one of the best in the area that we've had. The cakes were good, but nothing out of the ordinary. Love this bakery! Our daughter got married last Saturday. From the tasting appointment to the finished products, Sugar Me Sweet surpassed our expectations! They were so kind and very professional.
