We’ve given this place a few chances. 1 time we were told 1 hour wait time but we waited 2 hrs to be seated and another hour before we finally got our food. The servers are very friendly and welcoming when you arrive but seem to disappear when you need something. Ron is there every time we eat there and comes to check in with every table which is very nice. We decided to try the Sunday brunch to give it one final shot but all the food was cold. We seem to always get seated by the waiters drink area and it’s alway loud and you hear all of their complaining. A waitress sat a family at a dirty table and Ron called out “that one’s dirty” a minute later 2 waitresses are talking about it right by us and the fact that there were no clean tables (despite it being pretty slow.) And that he should “f-ing do it himself “ When we were finished and waiting for our tab to be paid our waiter was no where to be found. You can tell Ron puts his heart and soul into it but unfortunately we’ve been...
Read moreThis was my second visit to this restaurant. I didn't want to leave a review after my first visit because this place has been getting mostly great reviews, so I thought maybe it was an off day for the cook? Both times I have not been over the moon about the food. The first visit I had the prime rib, second visit I had the fried chicken. Between both we have had maybe half of the appetizers. Main course meals don't have much flavor. Prime rib oddly didn't have much flavor at all, fried chicken breading is extremely thick and bland, chicken dark meat itself is good once you take all the breading off. The only thing I can really rave about for the food is the jalapeno popper dip. Very rich in flavor and just enough heat. Staff is friendly, but just like everywhere they are short handed and serving times run a little longer. Our server on the most recent visit was running between tables trying to keep up with everyone as best she could for as busy...
Read moreWe thought we'd try out the Red Rooster in Ceresco since it recently opened. I ordered the Reuben Sandwich and the wife ordered the Chicken Salad Sandwich. Atmosphere was nice, 4 Stars. Waitress was great, 5 Stars. Food was blah, small portion and over priced, 1 Star. The Reuben as about 1' thick and lacked much flavor. Chicken Salad was in a nice hoagie bun but there wasn't much chicken salad. Wife said it also lacked flavor. Fries were few and nothing special. The place was busy but I'm guessing after the novelty of a new restaurant is over it won't be so busy. You'll be better served by trying one of the local hole-in-the-wall bar/restaurants...
