Our 1st experience and not a bad one. Very clean atmosphere. Excellent service, very good homemade food. I had one of the Thursday specials, " The Ruben Sandwich, Fries and added a house salad, the sandwich was large and filled. The thousand island was on the side. Have i had better, honestly yes, but this Ruben was in the top 5. The lettuce salad arrived in a small plastic dish with 1 cucumber slice a 1 grape tomato, ( which I cut in two ) lol. Price: $3.50, ouch. My wife ordered chopped steak, med well w/ Fries and house salad. It arrived hot and still juicy. She stated: very good. The menu variety is good and reasonable prices, except the gold salad. Wayside offers many daily specials to choose from and a senior and kids menus. I might add, finish your experience with a piece of the chefs homemade cheesecake. I give it a rating of 4. When we're in the area again. Sure we will make plans to patronize...

We were really disappointed in our meals from here! We had ordered the 10 oz rib eye only to be told 15 minutes before we were to pick up our meal they had no ribeyes so they gave us an 8 oz sirloin and said they would discount us. Now we called 3 hours in advance. You would think they would have called us earlier! And guess what? No discount and the teeniest steak we have ever seen. It was tasteless, chewy, and red. We asked for medium well and said please no pink..guess they were color blind! The mashed potatoes were good as were the green beans. The home fries were also good. The beer battered fish was also good..french fries looked like they weren't even fried! I heard great things about Wayside growing up. My aunt's always used to eat here and loved it. I feel cheated we didn't get to experience the good...

Was seated promptly when entering. When seated, was asked what we would like to drink. Drinks were brought quickly and given sometime to peruse the menu and specials. I ordered the stuffed chicken breast with mashed potatoes, green beans, and mashed potatoes. I also got a salad that was included with the meal with French dressing which is made in house. The salad was brought out along with bread and butter. My meal was brought out after nice and hot. It was delicious and filling. They also have a nice selection of deserts. They can be busy at times, especially on Sunday's, but it with the wait. Their staff is awesome and very attentive to their customers. They are one of the best resteraunts in the area for taste, portion, cost, and service. They check all boxes. Please remember to support your local...

Sunday lunch. Big crowd. 15 min wait to be seated. Ordered the Chicken Salad Croissant with fries. Sweet tea was good. Sandwich was good but kind of small. Fries were hot but unseasoned. No malt vinegar available so settled for ketsup. Partner ordered peanut butter pie as dessert to go. Typical small rural eatery. Popular with locals. Not bad but not particularly good. Sorry about the food pic. I took a bite before I remembered to take the pic.
