Loved this place as a kid. Can walk there from my house in 2 hours so i can justify the calories or drive. Not many soft serve places in this aream good cheese burgers. Good chicken. Excellent ice cream selection. Terribbbbble service time. Need a restaurant management coach or something. If im customer number 1 person A takes my order and gives person B my order to fill, but we step to the side to wait and person B then comes up to take customer number 2s order only to hand it off to person A and C to prepare ... why didnt the person taling my order just make it? A line of 8 customers on the "ice cream only" order line usually means I'll turn around and go home or somewhere else because ive waited 30 minutes or more in a line of 8 people here. Ordering inside at a table is much quicker. Hours also tend to be "flexible" in terms of "we're open until 8, but its 7:30 and we don't have many customers so we closed. Have pulled in several times at 7:40 or so hoping to grab a quick after dinner dessert or end pf day treat for the kids only to be advised "wwe already cleaned up." Also the service at the window is terrible because you can stand there for 20 minutes before someone acknowledges you. IF i stop here its only because its the closest soft serve or im already driving by and if i have to wait more than 3 to 5 minutes for their staff to acknowledge me, you've lost my sale for the day. All in all you can expect good food, but dont trust their hours, dont expect quick service, and don't be surprised if their staff seems...

A Scenic and Nostalgic Retreat

My visit to Collinsville Drive-In in Brogue, Pennsylvania, was a delightful journey into the past. The drive from Wrightsville, meandering through picturesque old country roads, set the tone for a serene and memorable experience.

Upon arrival, the establishment’s rich history was immediately evident. Originally opened as the Collinsville Drive-In Theatre in the 1940s, the site has evolved while retaining its nostalgic charm. The outdoor seating area offers a tranquil setting, allowing patrons to savor their meals amidst the peaceful countryside backdrop.

While the ambiance and setting are exceptional, there is potential for the culinary offerings to more closely align with the establishment’s rustic heritage. Incorporating more traditional country-style dishes could enhance the dining experience, providing a cohesive reflection of the drive-in’s historical roots.

Recognizing that Collinsville Drive-In is a small, family-owned business, it’s evident that the foundation for greatness is already in place. With thoughtful enhancements to the menu and service, this establishment has the potential to become a standout attraction in the region, drawing visitors from near and far.

In summary, Collinsville Drive-In offers a unique and nostalgic dining experience that captures the essence of a bygone era. With some refinements, it could solidify its place as a cherished destination for both locals and travelers seeking a taste of...

We found this place while cruising the back roads a couple of weeks ago and decided to return today. Both visits we have gotten the Beef BBQ which has a very tasty bbq sauce and sauteed onions but today I realized that it appears as though they use a chopped up hamburger, not fresh ground beef which was a little disappointing. Today we ordered a chili dog and while the hot dog was a nice size the chili was literally non-existent as you can see in the photo, perhaps a spoonful was added to the middle of the bun. The fries seemed to be fresh and hot but nothing to write home about. I do love their cole slaw, sweet and creamy and only 50 cents per container and the chocolate shake we got today was also very good. One other thing, not sure if the pup cups are free or if there is a charge for them because the receipt I was given both times was just for the credit card and was not itemized but they only put a very small amount of ice cream in the cup, next time we will just pay for a kids cup for our golden puppy. Staff is friendly, their prices are good and there is lots of parking but this place seems to always be busy and the line can get pretty long (especially for the ice cream side)...
