Grill on the Green — Restaurant in Chandler

Wonderful lunch place close to our home in Sun Lakes. I absolutely love nachos and of the number of restaurants in the Phoenix area whose nachos I've tasted, Grill on the Green is my favorite. I love nice and crispy nachos, which these were and the toppings were delicious. We also got the dry rubbed wings which were good as well; although the blue cheese dressing wasn't the best. I prefer nice chunks of blue cheese in my dressing. We have an HOA card, but this place is open to the public. They have outdoor seating with a mister system, but I'm guessing since there weren't many people outdoors that may be why the misters weren't on. We just moved to Sun Lakes and are making our restaurant rounds within the community. The smash burger at Grill on the Green was high on our list. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing. The flavor was ok, but the meat was the equivalent of a McDonald’s regular double cheese burger with two precooked frozen onion rings on top and fries that are nowhere near as good as McDonald’s. For $15, it appears the goal here is to keep food costs below 20% which in my opinion equals “poor value” for the customers. Strike 1 - 3 strikes and we will not return.

Surprised my mother-in-law here with a visit all the family came, wonderful place bartender was top notch super friendly, waiter was on top of drinks and keeping waters filled, the food was excellent one of the best burgers you will eat, and onion rings are perfect, they had out door bag games and ping pong, with fire pits you can sit around, I could have spent all day here enjoying scenery and drinking beer.
