I first tried La Central Bakery pasteries from the Chavira's grocery and meat store in Las Cruces NM. The quality and taste of all the pastries I have had to indulge were all good, fresh, and moist. All had their unique taste and flavors. I liked them so much, and my family enjoyed them so much that my mother, friend, and I drove to the closest local La Central Bakery in Chaparral just so my family and friends for the holidays can enjoy together with un cafecito or what ever type of beverage we each like to have with a quality piece of yummy goodies. The bakery was very well clean and organized. So clean, I could probably eat off the floor. šwell, I do not recommend it, but I'm just giving you all a visual of the cleanliness and how they take into account to keep their establishment clean, sanitized, and orderly for all the customer's can rest knowing they care for all others well-being,health,and food storage. The staff were very helpful, talkative, and welcoming. I would reccomended they have samples because even though all the pateries I got to try were good with buying. Some may have food allergies, and knowing and being able to try a sample would best help the customers with selection. I am blessed that I have no food allergies, but thinking overall of my fellow neighbors of people who might and would like to know what the pastries contain in case one might go in with a food allergy. I have not tried the food, but I am guessing if the pasteries are as good as the food, then that's next on my list to go visit and try. Thank you, La Central Bakery para los banes tan ricos y sabrosos! Muchas bendiciones a todos...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI waited 40 minutes for cold burned bistek. Everytime I come to this place to get food they do this to me. If I need bread for my pazole and ask for a dozen they give me 8 and charge me for 12. All the people around me are getting served even though they showed up 30 minutes after me. I finally get my food and the meat is more like crunchy burned charcoal pieces. I will never spend money there again. If you speak Spanish you get priority. They treat me bad because Iām white. She watched me waiting for 40 minutes for 3 plates. The people who run this place are a joke. They laughed when my son showed them the burned food. I was so angry and disappointed in the way we were treated. Especially when I watched others be treated so kindly and we are ALL customers. I can promise you 1 thing the beans they serve are being left below 141 degrees which is the danger zone for food. My worst restaurant...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent to get 2- 32oz Menudo cups for take out and a couple of conchas sweet bread. I asked if they could put more meat and they were okay with my order. The Menudo was cold and it came in a large 32oz cup and it also came with a menudo roll hard as a rock. I could barely bite into the bread. It also came with a couple dried lemon slices and some packets of salt , oregano spice and a spoon with a towel to wipe you mouth. I would imagine when ordering a Menudo in the early morning it would be hot and tasty. But this time they skimped on the hot and condiments weren't to par with what a take out menudo would be. The good side is the sweet bread was delicious and warm...
