Horrible. Sat and waited at bar while bartender held private conversation for about 15 mins. Got up to use the bathroom to make sure she saw me. She finally took my order. Prime Rib Rare. Cole slaw and vegetable medley. It was not prime rim. It was a rib eye steak thrown onto the grill and fried. I’m not sure they even know what baked prime rib au jus really is. It is baked in the oven as a standing rib roast and carved to order and generally only available one or two nights a week while it lasts. The meat was also tough even cooked rare. I had a couple bags of chips while I waited. They were even stale and soft, not crispy. Food was not fit to eat. I will not be back. The old structure the business operates from is interesting to look at while inside. However, people do not go there to look at an old building. This is a restaurant and bar. I counted a total of two tables and about 5 sitting at the bar at 6 pm on a Friday night. This should have told me something. Owner needs to sell to new management that at least knows what prime rib is. If you want to serve a tough rib eye steak fried in a grill, that’s fine, but please don’t call that prime rib. Also keep your potato chips for sale fresh or send them back. Get a bartender who watches her bar rather than shows pictures/videos of a cow loose on the highway (I’m serious) talks to other customers about it at length while she ignores the rest of her bar and customers. Get a new...
Read moreWe went to Meiserville Inn on Mother's Day. It was at dinner time and not busy at all. My husband and sons ordered all you can eat wings and fries. I ordered the crabby melt. They said they were out of fries and the coleslaw for on the crabby melt. They substituted onion rings for the fries, but only 1 order. They weren't unlimited like the fries were supposed to be. Came to find out they found some coleslaw in the fridge. The crabby melt was nothing like when I had it in the past. It had thick pieces of white chewy stuff in it. Waitress said it was crabmeat. It definitely wasn't crabmeat. Kitchen said it was the cabbage. It definitely didn't belong in the crabby melt like that. It ruined the texture and taste. It was not appealing. We came to find out they were not out of fries when someone we knew was in the dining room on the other side. Apparently they made fries out of baking potatoes. They then brought us some fries too, but they were black and greasy. For all you can eat wings and no crowd we waited forever and ever for our order then waited more yet for any additional wing orders. Another family told us they were ready to leave because they were tired of waiting. I used to love Meiserville Inn, especially their crabby melt, but unfortunately I don't think we will be returning. I was so disappointed and it was my...
Read moreDisappointed. We have gone here many times and foid was always great. So we wanted to take our fathers out for Father's Day. Reservations made. We arrived, not very busy, but 1 waitress running crazy to do takes and the bar. We waited about 1-1/2hrs for our food while people came in ordered ate and left while we waited to get our food. When we got our food, most was cold (both haddock meals) and ordered 3 steaks, all medium steak. One comes out well done and burnt, one medium well to well, and one so tough you could not even cut it let alone chew. No Soda refills, nor were we asked. So disappointed and embarrassed in our Father's Day celebration . I'm sorry to say we will not return to eat a meal there again or recommend this place for dinner. Burgers, wings, and salad are great.. not dinner!! Did get a discount, but still$100 for 5 meals (no alcohol was ordered)... again. Thought it was too much for...
