BowlesBoyz BBQ Up The Creek — Restaurant in Charleston

First time here for the Mrs and I. Everything was fresh-made and homecooked. She tried the delicious beef hotdogs with lots of chili and slaw. She said it was soooo good, as was the homemade potato salad. I can confirm that it was the best ever! The doggage was as good as any that I've tried, but the potato salad was most outstanding! I tried a beefsteak hero, which was good but made differently. It was chunks of seasoned beef that was good. It's a personal thing that I like the shaved beef. But, don't get me wrong....it was good. I had the Mac 'n Cheese as a side. It was good. The service was very good and attentive, and the entire place was very clean. If you're traveling down Rt 64 near the exit for going to Campbell's Creek, it's EZ off/ EZ On. It's worth stopping here as I'm sure you'll enjoy a hearty, well tasting meal for lunch or dinner. Ordered a brisket sandwich, nachos, and a large drink (coca cola). Food took almost 25 minutes and wasn't the best. It tasted like it was reheated in a microwave. Overall, it's good for a quick meal grab. I wouldn't go out of my way again for it. The older man (who I assume is owner) was super sweet. He was leaving as I was going in. The woman at the bar area taking orders looked like she was in another world....if you know what I mean. Her eyes were pinpoints, and she was slurring her words. She was also more concerned with the two gentleman at the bar instead of taking my order. We found this bbq place on Google maps for a quick stop to grab something to eat from traveling. This place was excellent! The pulled pork was fabulous and the different bbq sauces they have on the table was great we had to try all of them! The owner I do believe was very friendly to talk to he was very kind and even gave our son a cookie for the road back home. We like trying new places while traveling. We will definitely be back to visit this bbq spot when we are traveling again.
